I know...I was a bit disappointed 😭
Both my comments can make sense. I was surprised that being the reason she tripped as I had assumed it was something else entirely. The reveal didn’t quite land for me especially considering how far away she saw them hugging. With the speed she was running, it feels like a bit of a stretch.

It’s not her emotional reaction to the reveal that I take issue with, her response is completely understandable, especially given the depth of her feelings for Hosu and her personality.

I was majorly disappointed 😭 It was so not needed in this storyline or at that time.

It’s quite funny, the sister can’t handle all the responsibilities 😂, she had to draw a boundary. While…
That’s burnout for you. Mi Ji grew up hyper-independent—because she had no one else to rely on emotionally except herself and her nana. Meanwhile, Mi-Rae was smothered with care due to her constant illnesses, which probably explains why she’s now overcompensating in adulthood. She carries the guilt of being a burden, of the financial strain her condition placed on their family. Unlike Mi Ji, she never had the space—or the need—to develop the kind of emotional endurance that comes from handling life’s layers too early.

I'm honestly surprised Mi Ji didn’t carry more resentment into adulthood. She's always there for others, offering support and empathy, but it's rarely returned in kind. Who was there for her when her dream of running came to an end? Maybe the show doesn’t show it yet, but watching her quietly throw away her shoes—that broke me.

I saw a vid that noted that Baba will be playing Zhao Wei's character in the original Shaolin Soccer.

This current absence of Baba’s dramas reminds me of 2019. Around that time, she mentioned she hadn’t taken on any drama roles for nearly two years, choosing instead to focus on variety shows like Go Fighting. Back then, people speculated that even a rising star like Dilraba could hit a dry spell in her acting career. But there were also rumours that the real reason was a dispute with Jaywalk, allegedly she refused to take on the idol dramas they had lined up for her, as they didn’t offer much in terms of artistic growth. Not long after, she formally launched her own independent studio. This current quiet period feels similar with her on The Truth S3 and dramas in the loop, which makes me wonder if the rumours about her officially parting ways with Jaywalk might have some truth to them.

This is all just my private thoughts on the matter.

He's still got time to get that breakthrough role. He's quite expressive and emotes his characters really well.

I think her first major red carpet appearance would likely be at either the ELLE Style Awards or Vogue event —…
Honestly, usually Alices in China will come through but I don't think her team are reading the feedback on the looks which are insightful. I hope Minrui is reading it and adapts intentionally. I am also not a fan of the ghostly make up they've been applying to her lately. That douyen, idol look. It hides away her noticeable features esp her eyes.

Honestly, considering she's sticking with the Rayback, I don't have any faith we'll get anything showstopping! For some reason, I keep thinking those events are gone but im mixing it up with last years ones.

yes im already in love with miji. she's like that one person who cheers everyone up even when they themselves…
She has such a wonderful and enduring spirit. I wonder if it comes from being forced into hyper-independence at such a young age—she always seemed to be fending for herself. Their parents were busy chasing stability, focused on earning money and caring for Mi-Rae, who was often unwell. It makes sense, then, that her memories of their childhood sound lighter, almost carefree. Meanwhile, Mi-Rae has had to carry that imbalance into adulthood—trying to make up for lost time, haunted by the guilt of always being sick and the financial strain she may have placed on their family.
