The thing that upsets me, is that he has great contacts but pulls the most underwhelming pieces. He styles these top stars like they are still new starlets! They are megastars now, dress them like it!

Agreed. It's unsettling how she knows him as a high school student—someone clearly younger and in a different stage of life—and then so transitions into having romantic feelings for him. The emotional and power dynamics in that kind of relationship are deeply problematic, no matter who initiates it. Even if the roles were reversed, with an older man and a younger girl, it would still read as inappropriate, even predatory. Romanticising that shift undermines the serious boundaries that should exist between adults and minors or recent minors, regardless of the narrative’s attempt to justify it.
