Zhao Ling is no pushover. He could escape at the end of ep 6 but he chose to stay. It's not like he had no other choice at that moment bc of FTY's pushing. I never got such vibes. She wants the best for him and herself. And he's ambitious too but was uncertain and afraid of taking this path. It's not like he really didn't want it. FTY knows him so well regarding that. And she told him openly about it.
Honestly, this drama should be above 8.5. Excellent acting... sweet plot... healthy romance... what's the problem?
