I am putting this part in spoilers just to be extra safe. Buuuut i cannot be the only one loving watching Prince Annan, not just as he is, but more than I enjoyed watching Jin'an.
Finally reaching the end of this drama. I've almosy finished episode 35 and i can't help but think "what more are they going to give us that requires three more episodes?"
I feel like I'm almost asking questions in these comments lmao. But i have to ask the community here is always so quick and helpful in answering. I know this series is connected to Love Pavilion and Fox Spirit Match Maker. Is it necessary to watch those series before starting this one? Would you be missing vital information? Or is it similar to how Ancient Love Poetry and Moonlight Mystique are? With them being part of the same world but not essential to know the previous story?
I'm the type that waits until all the episodes are released or almost all of them are so that I may binge watch it without waiting lol. But I've been wondering this for a while since following thr announcement of this drama: is there any romance plot?
I assumed not since the tags did not include romance. But in doing some research I have gotten some mixed answers where some day yes but it isn't big and it's not a focus. And there are those who say there's none. So I was hoping for a clearer answer here from the novel readers.
Please put answers in spoilers if it includes detailed info on the drama.
I think this drama is getting way more hate than it deserves. 😅 I agree there are things that could be improved upon and are flawed but from my standpoint it is a good and easy watch. And it clearly goes into the healing drama category.
I am back to say I cried so much. And I regret nothing. Every cry was so worth it and if youre debating whether you should watch it, the answer is yes. Trus me when I say it is so worth the journey. You will cry, but youll also laugh, get angry and jump for joy.
I hear a lot of good things about this drama and it has been on my watchlist since i sawthe announcement. But I have one question to ask (to determine if I will watch it now or later) is the ending sad? Please put your answer in spoilers. I know there will be many episodes to make me cry, but i need a happy ending right now if possible.
I think the end is realistic. Drama isnt a fairy tale and never promised to be one. ML was dying beginning with…
I'm glad you enjoyed the ending and anyone who else did as well. I understand the narrative was leading toward that ending, but I wasn't a fan of it and personally consider it not a great ending. (That is to say, i do not consider it an awful ending just not a great one.)
We've seen these charscters go through and endure so much, so I wanted more for them, st least for them to have each other. Whether it was a realistic ending or not is irrelevant to me. It's still a fictional story, I also dont think giving them a happy ending would diminish the story at all. There was just as much and character that the two of them could have met as an end goal alive and together as well. I also dislike a certain take that "sad" endings are realistic over happier ones.
But this is just my opinion. It was still a good story, I just greatly disagree with it's end.
I finally finished this series and im glad I did! It was worth the watch, however, I understand why the ratings for it lowered after the series finished. I believe it hit a frustrating middle point and boring to some others. The resolutions to many plot points felt anti-climatic in the second half compared to the first half. But most of all that ending was... not the greatest. However, that is not to say it ruined the series and id still recommend this show to others.
I have gotten half way through the drama and I was so frustrated with where the plot went I honestly lost some interest. Because of that I did end up spoiling my self slightly but I'm struggling with this midway point. I know misunderstanding plots are the juice of so many dramas but as long as it's good and makes some sort of sense I can get with it. This is just driving me crazy.
I was so excited for this drama and by no means necessary was I let down. I got so much and more. Anf I know I'll be rewatching it soon.
I do have a question though, if someone can answer. Why was there no official kiss scenes between the leads? Yao and Fuyi had two and they had none. Does anyone know why they chose to omit that?
This drama is not perfect by any means, but it was still a fun and enjoyable watch for many others hence the score rating. So many people talk about how its overhyped but I see more people in the comments criticising it than praising it.
For anyone interested in watching this drama but unsure due to all the comments and reviews, I sincerely suggest to try giving it a go to see if its your slice of pie or not. I personally loved it. It's one of the few new kdramas I've completed in a while, but its not for everyone.
