I hope you can objectively talk about Mun Kayoung’s acting and her role without having to bring Jingoo into…
People can read whatever they want into what I said. It's OK. But, MGY's character, as you said, is just beginning her story and I already find her Mary Sue character annoying enough to drop this drama for that reason. Yes, you are correct about his empathy for her coming from his connection to her. I get it. I also know they will fall in love at some point, in the usual, predictable fashion. Glad you are enjoying it and all.

LOL. I didn't compare them. I, firstly, talked about Jin Goo. Then, I talked about Ga Young IN THIS DRAMA. Relax people.😂🤣 Sheesh.

I didn't say anything about her acting. 🤦‍♀️ Sheesh. But, she does have a choice in roles, and does pick incredibly annoying characters. I really don't care if you have a different opinion than me. Just, would like people to stop accusing me of saying something I didn't say, or of "bringing down Ga Young". It's a bit ridiculous.

I commented my thoughts on Yeo Jin Goo. Then, I commented what I thought about Moon Ga Young IN THIS DRAMA. Yeo Jin Goo just happens to be one of the best looking actors who ever lived. Not his fault, and not my fault for stating a fact. 😂🤣

Also a fact that Moon Ga Young's character in this drama is annoying as hell. Needs to be saved, even from herself. Just so, so annoying.

Just let someone have an opinion, even if it differs from yours. 😂

Yes, he has acted with other very talented actors. It's a fact that psychologically speaking, the more beautiful the actor, the harder it is to relate to their character. Even though he is ridiculously good-looking, the audience can still relate to him, because he is a very talented actor. But yes, I'll admit he's hard to take your eyes off of. That should be OK to say. I could never, ever honestly state that IU has been at the same level of acting as Jin Goo in anything. She isn't a character actress. Like Jin Goo, she is one of the most beautiful South Korean actors, but unlike Jin Goo, she just isn't that good of an actress. 🤷‍♀️

I dont see the correlation between X and Y in your comment. You mention Jin Goo and how being perfect might be…
🤣😂 Of course not. She is extremely annoying in every single drama I've seen her in so far though, to be honest.

Yeo Jin Goo is one of the handsomest men that ever lived. But putting that aside, he is also one of the best South Korean actors of today. It seems like he got really has the best of everything.

However, being too perfect might be his one weakness, as anyone who acts opposite him just can't seem to match his looks or presence. I'm not saying that no other actor is as good as he is, just that it's very hard to take your eyes off of him when he is on screen.

In this drama, Moon Ga Young plays an annoying push-over of an idiot, which I really can't stand any more of. She hums and haws her way around, being an idiot, and the male lead is supposed to find this endearing, somehow, because it's "quirky", and quirky is relateable and relatability is what allows us to like a character. I think her character's "quirkiness" is pathetic, not endearing in any possible way. I get that she is supposed to be naive, but naive and stupid aren't the same thing!!! I can't understand how stupid and naive are interpreted as one quality! No, they are different! Anyway, I don't think I can take any more of her character's idiotic dithering.

Is this worth watching? The rating is high, but the summary is not that enticing
Yes, if you speak Mandarin. But not if you don't, because right now, the subtitles are horrible. This needs to be subtitled by an actual person. Not just auto-translated.

Title My Roommate Is a Gumiho Spoiler
Uh. I hated this drama so much! Firstly, Lee Hye Ri always plays annoying, completely selfish, aggressive characters. I don't know her as a person, so I won't resort to ad hominems, but I have a special hate for her characters, and any drama she is in gets completely hijacked by her incredibly unlikeable on-screen character.

I get that she is nice to look at, and she plays characters that don't let other people walk all over her, like many annoying K drama characters I can name, but I personally can't stand any of her characters.

This is an ancient Gumiho spirit, and he falls in love with the dumbest, most ignorant, selfish, and annoying brat he could possibly find??! She's supposed to be interested in history, but she tries to throw up in antique vases, because she is too selfish to go to a sink??!!! The wise, gorgeous, intelligent, magical Gumiho wants to date this asshole out of all the women in South Korea??! 😆

It's because he's supposed to be 10 years younger as his younger self, and 10 years younger would have been mid-teens for his characters, but early 20's for the actress. So, it had to fit their time-line. Even though the actress can pretend to be in her early 20's, it would be a stretch to make Hwang In Youp in his mid-teens, in the minds of the casting directors, that is. I realize he played a teenager a few years ago. 😆 Just saying why that decision was made.

Title Why Her?
Does it not bother anyone else that "young Gong Chan" looks nothing like "older Gong Chan"? Actually, "older Gong Chan" (Hwang In Youp) looks younger than "younger Gong Chan". 😆😂🤣 It really threw me off. I kept thinking, there is no way that is supposed to be the younger him, whilst I was watching the first episode. It's just absolutely ridiculous. And younger Gong Chan has a larger build than Hwang In Youp, so it seems like he shrunk as he got older. 😆 And he is supposed to be this tough guy, who is shaped by his experiences and misfortune in life, but all she has to do is put her ear bud in his ear and he is ready to comply with her.

By the way, I like the actor playing young Gong Chan. I'm not saying he did a bad job. He did a very good job, actually! It's just that he looks nothing like the older version of the character, and he looks older, or the same age as the older version of his character. It's just a bit too far-fetched, is all.

This scenario worked in "I Hear Your Voice", because both the characters were young enough to be played by child actors.

Actually came here to see if it was better. Its the same one
He is either her uncle, or her dad (the emporer)'s uncle, which makes him her great uncle. We know that he probably isn't full blood relative, because of the many wives thing, but any way you look at it, it's all quite cringe.

He's her biological uncle, as far as I understood. But he's in his "early 20's", and devastatingly handsome, so that makes it OK to flirt with his niece, somehow. 🤣

It's about this Princess, who has what I think is an uncle??! (She says 9th Uncle), who just happens to be devastatingly handsome, so it's not creepy at all that he keeps hitting on her. Together, they try to solve some court intrigue, because the uncle is "really smart" and good at solving crimes, even before they happen, according to himself. 🤣😂
