You can't just take a huge bite out of Rong Zhou's face, you cannibal! I know it's supposed to be funny, but it's not. Even if she has an alcohol allergy, she can't/ wouldn't behave like that. Very distasteful.
For me, it was also difficult to care about the characters. But I don't understand, why you feel, that its connected…
I was trying to rationalize why I couldn't care about the characters. I definitely felt that watching fights featured a lot in the story. I mean, fights would break out all over the place, in every episode. I don't mind fights generally, but I do get bored with Wuxia when there is a lot of fighting involved. In my estimation, the time taken to depict a fight... whether it is a fight within a clan, or clans fighting externally, could have been better used in character developement. After all, fighting isn't giving us much information about the character, is it? It just tells us where their loyalty is, and whether they have skill or not, and how much skill that person has. That's pretty basic information. I don't have a problem with Wuxia in general.... I think? But watching constant fighting is boring for me, and I don't think it serves the plot.

hahaha....he guessed her passcode using her birthday....but she's pretending to be someone else, how would he…
Sometimes it's better not to ask questions, or use logic. Also, I feel like people were significantly smarter back then than they are now. SML would have been/is exceptionally smart. Maybe he asked her birthday.
Is the FL going to turn into a complete idiot? I watched ep. 1, but I am shocked that Yu Shu Xin isn't playing an idiot FL, and I don't want to get my hopes up. Is this FL going to have at least an average IQ?
Well if those two are best vampire kdramas then all I learned from this comment is that kdramas don't have any…
I'm not looking to get into a history lesson here, and you haven't asked, so I won't. I'll only say that vampires and everything surrounding their cultural folklore is directly linked to Christianity. Have you never asked yourself why silver? Why garlic? Why sunlight? No? And then juxtapose that with the murder of 8,000 Korean Christians in Joseon. Juxtapose that with how unwelcomed Christianity was in Joseon. You think it's fine to uncouple Christianity with its folklore, but I cannot conceive of how anything about that folklore makes even a tiny bit of sense if you throw history and culture right out the window.
This is, no doubt, how "Joseon Exorcist" got cancelled. They straight up say possession came as a plague from Europe. Yes, European culture itself was considered a disease to be guarded against. Then to take that folklore that was hated and guarded against right up until the 20th century and adapt it into a culture that is wholly unrelated to it. Well, in Korea they cancel people for lesser "culture etiquette crimes". OK. I guess old habits die hard and I did get into history without meaning to. History really matters though.

I was just saying that vampires as a concept are from europe. The earliest vampire films are from Europe. I don't expect a culture that is relatively new to the concept to be proficient in storytelling around a historically new concept. That's all I am saying. Also, the best vampire themed films/ shows come from europe, even though they don't have the budget or output rate that the US has.

Yeah, there aren't any good ones. I mean, Vampires and their ilk are european in origin. However.... zombies are well rooted in Korean and Chinese drama culture, so whilst there aren't good Vampire stories, there are some decent zombie K dramas. I know it's not the same thing, but I think it's somewhat close... maybe?
https://youtu.be/eqOmIo_dBG4I think this is why. I notice it too! The make up and contouring wasn’t that great…
Thank you. This was bugging me for some reason. I noticed it in BFTB as well, but less so. He looks better without makeup. When he gets mad in scenes as well, I noticed he looked a bit off.
There was no cause for CWD to make a remark like that and both Mo Xi and I took it seriously, if it was indeed a sarcastic remark. There was no "opinion". Just facts and being a sincere person, I would take him at his word. 🤷♀️
ML drugs FL, pretends they slept together. Get married.
SOT:

TTEOTM: FL comes from family that loves her, is a spoiled b***** before she reincarnated.
SOT: Ditto
TTEOTM: Has spoiled, overweight brother that does bad things.
SOT: ditto
TTEOTM: Tries to right her wrongs including what she did to the "FL".

What is the problem with saying the plots are esentially very similar? Are they exactly the same? No. Did I say they are exactly the same? No.
Just google it, and the episode number. That's what I did.
