Don't like a person critiquing the physical aspect of actors, who are engaged in a visual art? Don't read the reviews then. What was the actual point of personally attacking me if not to claim some kind of moral high ground by bullying someone, over something you clearly know nothing about. Honestly, just an illogical and bizarre thing to do.

Acting is a visual art. Visuals are important. Facts are also important. What isn't important is your ad hominems and your feelings. I have every right to critique any aspect of a visual artform that I want to. If objective truth is too much for you to handle, then that's your own problem, but being a bully is exactly what you have done here. Not just bullying, but facism, to dictate to someone what they can or cannot talk about is facism. Think about that. That's all I have to say to you, as I try never to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

That's a good point. Also, he isn't getting paid for his work as a lawyer and she knows he likes her from the beginning and she never even knew her husband from the beginning, it turns out.

I feel like I am watching a teenager act in a school play when I watch Ding Yu Xi.

I don't usually believe in the character he is portraying. He usually portrays a character that is a jerk, which is normal in C dramas, but he doesn't have the charm, charisma, or emotional range to redeem that character, so I can't enjoy any of those ML characters, and on top of that, he is not good looking at all, which may seem like not a big deal, but when the character has nothing going for it, then it becomes a big deal. Think of how unlikeable Zheng Ye Cheng's character is in..... well... most of the C dramas, yet he still manages to redeem himself with his acting ability and charisma.

Does this have a sad ending? I mean, without the obligatory reincarnation to modern times leading to a happy ending. I mean in the actual time period of the drama, is the ending sad?

I'll admit I might have been a bit blinded by the handsomeness of the SML. :) Let's just say.... I wasn't immune to his charm, as superficial as it might have been.

There was every reason to criticise a sub-par performance from an average actor that only got the part because of her popularity.

Well I have to admit that it helps the antagonist's cause when he is so easy on the eyes, and doesn't have a a permanent scowl on his face.
