I saw some commenter ask what Tong’s vampire superpower is and all I have to say is that if his IQ wasn’t quadrupled, he got shortchanged. If he got flight, he’d probably get distracted by a text message and fly into a building. Bless his heart.
It doesn’t get better, I’m watching ep 11 now and he’s still the dumbest person in the room. And he doesn’t…
I really like him as an actor! I loved him in Dark Blue Kiss and Not Me. His supporting work is always outstanding, I honestly feel like the plotting and writing are so inconsistent that he doesn’t have a thread he can hold on to, thematically, and so he just projects an emotion in the moment. This comes off as him being petulant or oblivious. He has no dimensionality and none develops as secrets about his character reveal themselves. But he’s great!
I was thinking this like can he not control other vampires by mind💀☠️
Nakan’s writing in the last episode was really sloppy. At the beginning of the episode: “I want revenge because Thara killed my favorite person who had the Golden Blood, so I understand how you feel” 20 mins later in the same episode: “Mark, you have to kill Tong!” 🥴
Doing a rewatch and just realized this series is painfully slow at times. The two leads’ acting/chemistry is…
Right, like I didn’t hate it… but there were entire episodes where nothing happened. And then the ending really bothered me because it’s like there was no progress besides bringing the main character down a peg. I see people describing it as a happy ending and I’m just left scratching my head as to how they see it as happy? The greedy manager won, they’re still closeted, and he was contractually forced to give up acting so the greedy manager could collect a percentage of the profits earned by his closeted boyfriend whom everyone assumes will fill the vacuum.

It's interesting how auntie Wan's just disappeared. Like she doesn't matter anymore. Also I don't know why Mark…
My favorite thing was how Wan did whatever job they needed her to do… she runs the flower shop, she’s Mark’s maid, she’s a nurse assisting recovery… they should’ve had her fight, she’s apparently got so many skills she might’ve done better than Nakan and Mark.
The show has always applied their powers incongruously throughout the series. I still laugh thinking about Mark on a treadmill… if he has super speed, what benefit would come from running that slow? The answer is there is no universe because they were just making things up in the moment and then discarding them the moment they needed to squeeze the two of them into a tiny little bathtub.
I’m on episode 4 and I’m struggling. Tong is too much of a grown man to be acting and pouting like a child.…
It doesn’t get better, I’m watching ep 11 now and he’s still the dumbest person in the room. And he doesn’t “experience” danger as much as he wanders into it like a person with a blindfold looking for the piñata…
Soooo this is not a BL, this is an LGBTQ+ series. I keep seeing people making the mistake of calling this a BL on other pages’ comments. It’s rare when the two cross over because they have two different target audiences and goals.
🤣🤣 omg you're so evil! we out here sobbing and mourning Tonkla's human form being impaled on a stick while…
I’m not dancing on his grave, I’m just genuinely excited for the show now that the most annoying character is gone. I feel like it might actually go somewhere without having to stop twice an episode to worry where he is or explain some stupid plot detail to him that is none of his business anyway. He was dragging down the entire show and I feel like now the pace will quicken and things might actually happen.
Thank God, Tonkla has been annoying me since episode 1. Whenever he appeared on screen, I would scream “Just kill him already”… although I was sad because he finally told Tong he was stupid to his face (he was right) earlier in the episode, so I was actually a little sad but not enough to wish him back. Now I’ll be tuning in with a spring in my step!
I think I’m done.

Oh, and here’s a cat.”
