Is there any love triangle? Someone in comments said FL keeps mistreating ML, Is it true?
I wouldn't say mistreating. It's more like annoying him. But Ml also annoys her. No love triangle imo. In the beginning, she has a bf, she finds out from ml he's cheating on her and she breaks up. She moves on from him soon. Ex-bf continues having feelings for her but eventually stops.
The story in description doesn't even mention any male lead.
1. There were many posts confirming Choi Wooshik being in this show. But it got debunked a couple of days later.
2. there can be ML even if the synopsis says nothing about it. Also, it says "It contains the heartbreaking first love of a man who was destined to be the fate of the two women".
3. Another thing is this drama is still in the works and more casting will be announced as it goes by.

well, that may be because the comments you've seen and I've seen are different. The example I gave was, "Same childhood connection trope bs again." From the comment, you can see that the person was complaining about having to watch a drama with a childhood connection trope despite previously not liking it. They not giving criticism like the ones you've mentioned "hard to buy if the romance on screen and the plot is not built properly or it feels like the main characters will get together just because they are childhood friends or something like that" As I said before I'm talking about those who obviously don't like the 'childhood to lovers trope' in dramas from the get-go and aren't interested but still forced themselves to watch such dramas from the start, and are constantly complaining about the same thing over again. Giving criticism about the drama (e.g. bad acting, messy script, unnecessary characters/scenes, etc) and complaining about the drama because of a trope someone hates from the beginning are 2 separate things.
JHI said you shouldn't watch ep 11-16 with your parents in the same room.๐คจ๐ LIKE BOY WHATTT! Why do I not believe him? LOL And apparently, it changed to an 18+ rating on Netflix in some countries. Not mine though.

venting out your disappointments about the drama and giving criticisms is normal and welcomed but I'm trying to point out that if someone doesn't like a specific trope no matter how many times they've watched it and now it's just no go trope for them and in this case "childhood friends to lovers" or "childhood connections" than they shouldn't start such a drama. Just by reading the synopsis of Love Next Door and other examples I gave above, it's an obvious trope that will be throughout the drama. Someone who doesn't like such tropes but still starts it and complains about it every time shouldn't have started it and ruin it for the ones who like such tropes or just the drama itself. Giving criticism about the drama (e.g. bad acting, messy script, unnecessary characters/scenes, etc) and complaining about the drama because of a trope someone hates from the beginning are 2 different things.
Exactly! I also honestly don't understand the logic behind such. It's not as if we are scarce of k-dramas, that…
exactly and with the wide variety of kdrama genres nowadays what's there to complain about a trope that doesn't interest you? If you do have some general criticism, yep say that.
