Dude! KTR can ACT. She looked HOT in this episode. Not to sound weird, but possessed San Young is oozing with charisma. Especially her convo with Hong Sae... If I were there, I would be terrified of her. The contrast between the possessed and normal SY is so stark. You never get confused.
Jae ho's gaslighting is giving me whiplash 💫. At this point, I'm half sure that he's even gaslighting himself into believing that he was not involved in prostitution.
And THIS ladies and gentlemen, is how you perfect cliche! The blend of all classic k-drama tropes is so fresh, but nostalgic at the same time. This is like a mix of all 2010-2015 typical chaebol rom-com dramas. It reminds me of all of my guilty pleasure dramas of that era!
This drama is so full of cliches that I've lost count 🤣 1. Cold, rude ultra-rich chaebol ML who is an a-hole to everyone else, falls for our 'plain, hardworking' FL for no particular reason ☑️ 2. SFL's whiney and bullying in-laws and a (probably) cheating husband ☑️ 3. A-hole ex-boyfriend ☑️ 4. Daddy-issues ☑️ 5. Dead, missing mother ☑️ 6. Comedic relief, side-kick assistance ☑️ 7. Too many 'coincidental' meetings between the ML and FL, leading to cycling together, tripping, falling and being caught in the arms of a handsome man ☑️ 8. Stranded on an island (with just 1 inn) and being mistaken for a couple ☑️ 9. FL acting oblivious to the obviously smitten ML's attention ☑️ 10. FL is magically good at EVERYTHING and avoids being fired even after being rude to the ML☑️ 11. ML remembers the FL and their first encounter even after YEARS ☑️ 12. Weak as a twig storyline (at least for now) ☑️ 13. Montages ☑️ 14. Glamour, bling, MOOLAH ☑️ I am pretty surprised they haven't brought the childhood first-love trope yet! (Maybe they will though... who knows!)
Will this start to drag by the end? Probably... Still, will I watch the show till the end? DEFINITELY!
P.S. I'm pretty sure I am missing a lot more. But my goldfish memory escapes me when it's needed.
This is one heck of a wild ride!! Take me along. The next thing I know, I would be walking around in a white dress with waist-length flowing hair, screaming and crying at everyone I know 🤣🤣
There are very few dramas that leave a mark on me these days. I'm glad that this is one of them. This is my ultimate comfort drama. The chemistry and support between the leads, gives me hope for love.
I suppose I'm the only person here who likes Fengyao the most. Her character is realistic. She makes safe bets, and stays cautious, as any other person would have done, loves Moxi more than anything in the world and tries to stay under the radar. Moxi is fine. But she deals with classic FL syndrome- having too many guys falling over her, being completely careless with her words and actions and yet not facing the appropriate consequences, getting away with the most absurd antics... I can't seem to favour her over FY. At the same time, I don't want FY to end up with WJG and settle for being a second choice. I want her to find someone who would love her for who she is. But I suppose it's all wishful thinking...
This is the perfect filler drama. I don't feel emotionally attached to any of the characters. It's light and beautiful. All in all, a good deal. I just hope it won't begin to drag by the end...
The ML is a big, walking, talking green flag. I keep seeing those articles listing MLs and SMLs as green flags,…
IKR! It's so easy to fall in love with him. He wins the Best Husband of Dramaland award hands-down. I absolutely love the costumes. Surprisingly, it's the ML's costumes and their shades that I like more. Especially his orange robe. I am definitely going to suffer from withdrawal syndrome after this drama ends...
P.S. If I had half the forwardness the FL has, I would be able to woo half of the world's population through perseverance alone!
