Interesting…so the novel LYL has a more complex personality and weird obsession to SZH. I am not quite seeing it here, this drama really needs a better casting for this role, a more senior experience veteran actor. I don’t think this current actor can pull it off.

The last case in DunHuang made me so emotional😭😭😭 but clever writing. As usual it ends with a positive note where the whole group will head back to Chang An….to be continued? Love this series, hope we really get season 3, so if we do, it may involve more court politics? It’s the end yet not the end.

Ah, the Li Yun’s case was so compassionately ended. Whole group moving to DunHuang, closed of YunDing chapter. Ends with an inspirational poem.

I initially thought so with the set up, but so far till ep 10, there was a lot more focus on the setting up in their relationships, but still too early to tell. You may be right.;)

Probably it’s that kind of typical ‘I don’t want to implicate her’ kind of plot😅. This ML just doesnt bother to explain his situation of being accused and seems to tolerate and the type who want to find answer himself.

Zhang Ling He seems to do well in this type of role, appearance cold aloof, but yet there is a petty and playful side of him. I can’t sense their chemistry yet, but I guess it’s still building up. I believe in Jing Tian’s acting, she can have chemistry with every male lead she pairs with.

The romance is the main element to my observation as of ep10, but the leads are still developing that aspect. There is no progress on main lead finding his brother yet and the main lead holds a Buddha’s heart to the current villian who acts like a cockroach, keep coming back with more threats.

I 💯 agreed with your thoughts. Like you mentioned every plot line is thrown but fall short in story telling.

Yes! Ouyang Nana is cute and adorable in this role and her acting is so natural.
