Yes this arc has lots of subtle hints that they are fighting with the Japanese side n those times,like Lu Dalang’s feet, how he kill himself, the obsession with cotton… Definitely fictional, but was wondering whether how they will link this to the backdrop politics and corruption.

Even though viewers may say this story seems familiar like many other dramas…however the big difference is that this drama has good actors and actresses that portray the characters well and believable, making the story interesting.

The first 4 ep is the build up of their tension chemistry and yet reach their dating era…so I think the format here is progressive which for a 24 ep., the break up maybe around 10 or 12? Has the calendar schedule been posted?
