So I was right, it’s a sequel and not just a re-make. But of course they make it a point to show flashbacks so for those who didn’t watch the first season can understand the story. Ep 1 is good, love the pacing. I have to come back later to watch the rest, got some work to do😅.

But I still prefer Shawn Dou’s Yan Xun, it’s a personal bias. lol.
Huangyang Tian Tian’s Chu Qiao is great! She is bright eye and very natural, love her acting.

How could you make a fake and judgmental comment without even watching the drama? This is c drama, their censorship board is so much stricter than many other censorship board. This matter you raised will never be an issue as they will not approve such plotline that is only seen normal in western context, but not so in conservative China.
Please get your facts straight if you want to raise voice.

I am speculating that the real LongShen has yet come out and it’s acted by Wang Duo based on cast list. So the current JiLing is a stand in for some reasons which we don’t know yet. But who knows, GJM may again mislead us😅.

By ep 15, we know that Yuan XiZai has JiLing’s face. So we don’t know who is actually Li Jie yet. But for sure the current JiLing is not LongShen. And Wu ShiGuang is actually the last flood dragon. Villian is for sure the nine headed snake, JiuYing.

Yup, some similarities but slight different. They went in and live lives of past characters…so they will discover the origin of the stone, the action resulting in massacre of flood dragons and some identities revealed. It can be confusing but by latest ep., it may become clearer. Below there is also a few commenters that wrote long summaries on the happening, spoiler warning…you can always ask, I am sure people will clarify and reply🤩. Enjoyed the mess.

Yup, the illusion arc has three timelines, 1000yrs ago, 150yrs ago and 100yrs ago. It’s like the Bore dream in TTEOTM;).
