But I also came to accept that for this drama, the director has made DuanXu weaker in the void, this is the common trend for c drama, making ML being rescued by FL and making her show her vulnerability for him. But back to mortal realm, I am glad the script follows according to the novel, and we can see his goals to unite the kingdom continues to be his plans. And yes, he is still scheming and resourceful.
