Ep 27., the suffering in silent. Both YXW and TTJ suffered for each other but didn’t even know. I wonder why PYZ decided to give the bracelet to TTJ. TTJ in all his means trying to keep YXW alive and willing to sacrifice half his life. I am impressed that TTJ know sacrifice.
TTML has a CP, he could be happy if he doesn’t chase for revenge and power. PR sacrifice herself for love - the noble foxy😭.

He is not. He is the group in school with idealistic views and believe in free expression that China should not be control by Japan. He is being influence by his teacher who is pro-Chinese rights.

PYZ’s task is to always protect XL, so in whatever way, he always have to do his part to protect. I don’t think by doing that he can pass his tribulation.

Okay…I just finished ep 26, all I want to say it’s an ep of pain and blood spill. As viewers we have our emotions hype, seeing TTJ so happy planning for the marriage then plunged when we saw what happened. The scene with blood spill and dialogue was just painful to watch. The I noticed YXW asked TTJ to kill her, why? If she does, she can’t fulfill her mission???

I am impressed by YM’s acting here, she definitely instill fear in her subordinates. Her character here is fortunate to have three trustworthy men working for her. Qin Hao is good doing two roles, the portrayal were distinctive and viewers can clearly see the different personality. He is unfortunate to have a reckless twin brother.

I know this is not about romance. But it’s sad to see in the latest ep after being separated for two months, reunited again but unable to tell each other how they missed each other and why the letters were not written back. If they just said it out, there won’t be misunderstanding.

I missed ep 26…maybe reluctant to watch the sadness….will catch up on ep 26 and 27 today😭😭.

This comment may be buried but decided to mention that this is definitely worth the watch as it’s enjoyable throughout, no dull moments. Although the last 5ep., feels like a rollercoaster with some convenient plot lines inserted and resolved quickly, it’s coherent. Ultimately, it all ended well and satisfying closure for all characters. The main CP has its deserve ending and it definitely ended on a heart-warming note. This is a woman empowering plot with our FL as heroine guiding the change and our ML support all the way.

Lady Revenger returns from fire seems to be next on line to be aired. Wu Xia, mystery with revenge plot.

The drama ended, very happy ending and yes we get a marriage ceremony. Yes, the Hua men was pardon in the end and returned home. They were officially together after ep 20, but a lot of plotlines and things happened so they only got married at the end.

Sum: forty tales from the afterlives is a great book. The author David Eagleman is a neuroscientist, his writings is rather insightful. Enjoy the read.
