Here is my take for ep 19…it’s the best moments for TTJ, he is really trying hard to be a good boyfriend element, taking care of YXW’s family, taking care of the country. His first kiss from YXW (Bai Lu) is very cute in these scenes with TTJ in this ep.

This ep has some significant progression between Chen Hao and Hua Zhen. They ate two meals together 🤣, that was a silent but serene and peaceful moments among brotherhood. And I am sure Chen Hao figured out HZ can be trusted. The brotherly relationship strengthen. Wang Miao Lei’s acting is as usual very good here, his two face - one moment acting timid and next moment scheming. Funny Captain Feng calling himself the nanny for the police force…🤣.

Ep 12…it’s about who you know and not who you are…Hua Zhen calls his military friend for help.

The main focus is not romance but there is subtle hint between ML and FL.

Re-watching the dream arc the third time, I still feel lots of pain for them. There’s always a lot of “what if…”when I watched. And felt this CP could have a good ending if they just talk to each other. However I also feels this in an important arc as it’s the ancient saying of “what we can learnt from our ancestors…and not repeat the same mistakes.” Through this TTJ learnt love and sacrifice. As SJ said is herself she couldn’t forgive, as her love for a God has brought the perishment of her whole clan, how could she ever forgive herself. She couldn’t be able to live to revenge if not for her vengeance, MY was too naive thinking he could still save her. I felt it was also this that gave TTJ the idea in later arc, to try and burnt himself away with YXW’s body.

Yes, I understand, he is pretty stuck. I would think HZ will mark his limit of obedience. But also wondering after a lot of things he had to do for the Emperor, this drama really didn’t show much of his internal struggles or dilemma.

That part about GYX, I am curious about. He obviously knew the Emperor’s paranoid behaviour and observed how his Emperor treated his own sons, yet he could be still so loyal and do whatever he was instructed. Wonder when will his moral compas kicks in.

I am sure they will meet soon. With his favourite nephew running off to her so often, it’s a matter of time;) That will be an interesting arc to see.
