Ep 25, I am starting to feel ML’s expression and vulnerability when he is with FL. It’s subtle, but comparing all the past stoned face expression, ep 24, I see his emotions, even when he talks to his close friend/ General Wu in North, he seems more at ease and natural….interesting.

Agreed. MingLan definitely has a lot more going and that script can be painful to watch sometimes, but that’s realistic in her time and struggles.

Hahahha…not the intention, actually I of course don’t want her to suffer. However the title of this drama is blossom to adversity, so may have the expectation that she will encounter some extremely difficult situation that can’t be solved, however she can manage through her resilience and still triumph. However that’s just a thought, I am still thoroughly enjoying this drama.;) And you are absolutely right that for a girl at her time, it’s a lot that’s going on. So I am looking forward to see her vulnerabilities that make her a more realistic character design.

FL’s family is filled with warm, loudness and love for each other, so different from ML’s family. These encounters will probably a turning point for his future decision to stay on.

I kind of agreed with you to some extend. I do feel the writer is making her very much like a Mary Sue character, things haooened too smoothly and always have help, the ability to overcome all difficulties so far, she reminds me of Rey in Starwars. I am still wondering when her actual challenge and difficulties. Was thinking probably her relationship with ML and Emperor in the later stage of the arc. I am still waiting for the difficult plot. But it’s definitely a fun watch so far.

The interaction between ML and the little girl is very cute.

Not the main focus but based on OST, there maybe subtle romantic involvement with FL.

Always seeing Li Xian in good guy role…seeing him being nasty to Ren Ming…still quite hard to believe, and can’t help feeling that he still is a very good person in him. However ep 4, he is really charismatic and charming and Ren Ming is adorable😍.

Ep 14 was hard to watch, more like the beginning of angst from MY and SJ’s interaction. They deeply care for each other but yet miss all the hints and tends to think what right for the other but never truly understand what each other needs. In reflection, thought this will be a good lesson for TTJ and LSS to avoid miscommunication…but then they didn’t learn right?🤦🏻‍♀️
