I think the case wants to explore the condition of ‘non-binary’ gender identity. An individual who may not identify as strictly man or woman, but rather in between. Their appearance might be described as androgynous or feminine, but they may use terms like "they/them" pronouns and identify with a non-binary identity. Let me share my perspectives;)…i just find that weird as she has been building a close bond with Xiao Yao and XY has also been rescuing her, so for her to betray because of greed…just feels unnatural. Furthermore since the beginning Dali was always portrayed as simple minded, naive but never as greedy and the jealous type, so that’s properly why I find it hard to see her change just because she wants to stay in the Realm of Mist and Void. There was also no early set up of her wanting to be ambitious and out shine FL, so finding it hard to see that in her.
