The ending is really hard to accept. And we all wish a season 2 or a more satisfactory or complete ending. But I guess it will not happen and we all here have to learn to accept😭. Yes! We all miss TTJ.😭

oh I see. You should watch on. It’s a set up and realistic to tell how children who became adult of such parent, can’t see the problems until awareness grow. It’s very real scenario that children who grew up with such toxic parents are unable to break through and I always feel stuck but as the series progresses, it will gear towards strengths on how someone need to break through such unhealthy parent relationship. Which is the key arc of XQ’s story. I don’t think so far there is any glorification of such parenting in c drama. There is always a lesson where parents get their retribution.

You shouldn’t judge based on comments, it’s often bias. Best judge is to watch a few ep and decide for yourself. There isn’t a bunch of good looking actors either, just ML and FL, and both can act. The storyline is not only focus on their romance but other real life events, fire rescue, mountain rescue etc, and all are quite well written. It’s definitely a good portrayal of Dr and firefighter profession. So do consider checking it out.

I see your point. However this is a drama of 40ep., I don’t disagree with you as if it’s a movie, guess all can happen in 2hours. For a drama, in first 20ep., this drama shows us the importance of their profession, their family background’s struggles, their values and their other relationships. It shows us who they are now and why they would make those choices and why they are still stuck and struggles. It does seem like it hasn’t focus much on their growth, but it also shows their subtle changes and how they can’t escape each other (kept bumping into each other lives). So having a catalyst like earthquake, that’s the break through. There of course shorter drama with less filters, but this is not. I enjoy the ride so far, hope you do too.

Yes agreed! LXY is a great actor, his facial expression has lots of emotions. Actually this drama has a lot of very good actor.

Nice analogy…it reflects LZS’s sad life. He thought he live for one thing, and yet that one thing is a mistake. I somehow feels like he reminds me of Christopher Nolan ‘Joker’.
