The FL’s character is written to be loyal to her mother and her sect, that’s also her weakness, she is still following orders and family needs. The other end, I thought her brother’s character is also written to be so extreme, ruthless for the sake of it.

Yes, the agreement between detective Liu and YX. The strategy of letting NGF win first then take him down. This will be interesting to see.
