Yes, it is possible that XZ is waiting for better times for him. Maybe he thinks there is no point of shooting too much now, since there are such problems with airing his dramas like in the case TOOL. In his Elle interview he talks about Gu Wei though, so perhaps we will be able to meet this character at last. I believe if the show was the lost cause XZ might have not bring this name at all. Perhaps he knows TOOL airs everntually ;( Kinda off topic but wanted to share that thought.

Yes, you are right ;( But at least that rumoured drama sounds like an ambitious project. Hope it happens. I am still new in this fandom and I do not know how it works exactly, but Xiao Zhan's current casting agency is said to limit him? Is it true?

Heard some rumours Xiao Zhan's next project is set in the 70's. Hope it is true! Perhaps this look from the recent photoshoot is some kind of foreshadowing?

I am missing Xiao Zhan too and wish he was as active as he used to be, but there are some positive news recently - the Oath of Love and Ace Troops have now bigger chances to air. Plus there are some rumoured stage performances in December ;)
