I am wondering as well. This year we will have 4 Xiao Zhan's dramas and next year? Nothing?
But being honest I do not expect it to release sooner than winter 2023 perhaps?

I am very excited for this, even despite of the fact that cgi in some parts really was not that good and overall look is too artificial. But as a book reader I am liking the story (so far) and Shi Ying's character, so can not wait to see it shown on screen. Da Si Ming should be older guy, what's wrong with C-ent casting younger men in older guy's characters? I just hope that Chongming will look better than Ashes of Love' Beast of Dreams ;) Kinda bad they spoiled important event in the trailer, but perhaps it is widely known, so it is not a big revelation.

Personally I do not care about actresses nor budget, but plot. But I think people overall would like Xiao Zhan to have another "The Untamed" which is his most well known and loved work and I think no one will argue with this statement. As much as I liked all the series you mentioned I feel like they never surpassed TU in terms of popularity and they were liked rather only by his fans. Correct me, if I am wrong.
I would like XZ to do something groundbreaking, that make his name even bigger. Something that makes him shine as an actor and convinces even those, who are not yet convinced. Maybe some trully artistic film, maybe a thriller or horror, something he never did before ;)

XZ did not give any explanation, it is just a melon. But that horror sounds nice, apart from Wang Kar Wai film it is something I would like him to see in ;)

God, he is barely 31 (almost). This is the best time for an actor (at least in Hollywood or Bollywood, I do not know how does it works in China). Though I agree, that as a big star as he is he deserves something bigger than just dramas. For example Wang Yibo has movie with Tony Leung. How I wish Xiao Zhan could too! Let's wait and see, there were rumours about XZ working with big name directors, maybe something from this becomes true.
Anyone knows how is his English level though? It would be nice seeing him in something international.

To be honest, if not Xiao Zhan I would not even try to watch this drama :) I was all for XZ in 70's but I had other idea about how it may look like. I do not understand how trailer thing works in China too? Because they barely finished shooting and it is clear from the video, that it needs a lot of polishing (audio for example). Also the random dramatic music does not fit haha. Usually trailers are out some time after the shooting is finished. Same was with the Longest Promise. Trailer in August 2021 and almost nothing till today. This is very strange politics.
Coming back to the trailer I liked however the scenes with Xiao Chungsheng wearing fur hat and kicking some asses. It seems we are going to get something like Gu Yiye 2.0 too. If he is going to take his shirt off (shirt, not undershirt) as often as Gu Yiye 1.0 I will be pleased :D
Hope this drama is a success for Xiao Zhan and that it looks better than I expect it to look at the moment ;)

It was good day :D Food vlog, new Shi Ying picture and sexy, new ad for Ralph Lauren. Finally XZ got rid of oversized jackets (with strange lapels) and undershirts :P Shooting of WDB is said to be finished next week, so perhaps soon some news about his next project will appear ;)

It is almost one month away. It is nothing :D Will pass very quickly ;)

Sadly, as an European fan I can not witness XZ in theather, unless he comes here (which is kinda impossible :D). But for Chinese fans (and for him too) it was great experience, I guess :D I think he could do musical for instance. And new song would be great too. But I think XZ sees himself more as an actor now...I am sure though we will have something for TLP ;)

One part of me wants him to start shooting something else immediately after he ends WDB (it takes forever to finish it), but another part of me wants him to rest, take care of his health and gain some weight.

I think I saw the uniform pics already with his normal hair so I assumed they shoot it already. So I hope the shorter hair is for the wig ;)

I would love Zhan to be in the second season of JOL, but heard his character will be played by another actor ;( I read somwhere that XZ cut his hair very short recently (even shorter that for Gu Yiye), but have not seen any picture beside some black and white one on youtube that I could not spot now. His last Douyin does not confirm this, but could be shot earlier. It is all so confusing :D

You mean songs from AT and TOOL? That's true, but TOOL ones were recorded earlier I think, and the duet he did for AT was not even performed live anywhere, if I am not mistaken? ;)

Yes, I think his look for AT is my favorite too! XZ looked so boyish and fresh back then, and those hedgehog hair really suited him, emphasizing his jawline and that long neck :D In TU times he was very thin, that's true, but still it did not do any damage to his face, like it is doing now. The role of Xiao Chungsheng does not seem to be that demanding, when it comes to appearance and it also does not seem to be emotionally draining too...If it is really for the role, then I do not know what they have in store for this character!
I agree with what you said about action thriller. I think XZ would do great in such drama or film. Hoping his next project will be something like this ;)
