Ok i got your point but i disagree with it. I totally support jcw playing interesting characters even if it's NOT main lead but that depends on definition of "interesting ". A character has to be well written to be interesting. For yoon gilho- he's a very interesting character but literally got no development, no backstory nothing. That's an example of ruining a character with bad writing.

I am not trying to be toxic or shit like that i am a huge jcw fan ...but this is my point: Why would a top actor in his prime would want to do roles where the story is nothing special AND he's not the main lead- isn't that the worst of both worlds 🤔 i am genuinely curious if you have a logical answer pls provide. And also he did not do these type of gigs before right? Can u name me even 1 show of the past where he deliberately chose less screen time? Again i am not blaming jcw it's very likely that his agency kind of gives him those kind of roles more frequently.

Cmon you said dumb before i said stupid for no reason let's not count. Maybe you understood wrong his characters are always good, his versatility is amazing. My point was that in his last few projects even though he was given main lead roles, he was not given ample screen time to show his amazing acting. It will be great if writers write the script keeping his character in a more central role. That's all

Vigilante was not good imo. Shop for killers was really good but they killed off the main guy midway and brought him back in the last ep🤭, other 2 i havent seen
Sorry for the rant but what the hell is wrong with the kdrama writers and producers: they are literally making his main roles into cameos. It happened in revolver, in queen woo and now in gangnam b side. I really hope we can get 12 or 16 eps dramas from him where it's actually about the story and characters. I think some of his best roles have come out when action is combined with good storytelling like k2, healer and twoe. I also hope that he's not deliberately choosing short dramas.

I'ma go ahead and say it: this show didn't need gazillions of side characters eating away screen time, especiallyin an 8 ep show. Jcw can carry a show by himself. the prosecutor is also boring now. Still eps 1-4 were amazing and things were on track in the 2nd part of ep 6 so i am hopeful of a great conclusion.
