There are multitude of reasons. Yes promotion is primary but overall disney can't create hype and most of their works go unnoticed even if some of them are good. Most importantly they don't have enough base subscribers( especially among kdrama fans)

Let me predict the future: real manhwa fans will be absolutely UNhappy with this...the only way it will be a success is that if it manages to excite the regular korean masses. I will be happy as long as they don't create some absolute trash like when the stars gossip😃...will be excited for an anime adaptation rather than movie

From what i have come to know..a lot is hinging on this drama for cj enm , esp after failure of stars gossip and their stocks have plummeted by 15 or 20p, the elements are there for a success- great cast, directors etc. HIGH budget, will depend on the execution. The only problem is disney😌, oh well i hv made my peace with them

It's completely subjective, first time i watched it i enjoyed it. That time i didn't know of mdl or any ratings and watched it just bcoz netflix recommended. It's a light hearted romcom basically(for most parts)

As many have pointed out this is giving some melting me softly vibes..but i didn't hate that drama - it was a comfort watch if you skip some boring scenes( also i am a jcw fan so perhaps i am biased). I think the more glaring similarity is that both these dramas tried something experimental and new and both failed badly in the ratings department AND both are studio dragon creations 🤔. The only thing clear to me is that for ratings you have to give something the local audience can relate to...whether it's chaebol romance, north- south romcom, countryside etc. There's a set formula and everything else will fail😌...also people should stop caring about korean ratings, if you like it watch it
