It's actually quite fun, chineese rom coms get judged too harshly I feel. Although I agree it doesn't warrant more than a 7.8 rating. It's just an enjoyable watch for anyone who likes good lead chemistry, fluffy romcom scenes, an interestic concept dynamic and some light comedy. It's not supposed to be fine cinema or engaging every single scene. Also the good stuff only starts after ep 12 ( which is odd cause for a lot of 24 ep c-dramas, the plot builds up then thins out after ep 12).
I can't believe how underrated this show is. I loved how natural and well paced it was, usually Japanese dramas can get a little to stiff and robotic for my liking. This drama was beautiful.
It makes me kinda anxious not knowing how many eps they plan to do. Like what have I gotten myself into? Is it a 16 ep cruise or am I going to get dragged along for 30 eps of nonsensical daily life now that I've started watching? Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying this drama but I've seen what trying to sticky tape extra eps can do :/. Hoping they'll finish off well in a few eps in a nice, conclusive happy ending.
ML is unnecessarily and agressively homophobic which I don't think being a sociopath can excuse. I'm curious if other people have come across this thought while watching?
Ik it wasn't a sequel to go go squid but I watched it with the expectation that it would be of the same quality and give me the feels like the last one did. Something about this drama just didn't click. Dropped it half way through ( I really tried to like it cause it seems to have such a high rating).
It us really making me curious. An interracial romance in an asian drama is not common and I like it. How is the…
I'm still on 120 but the chemistry is good. Although I have to say it's more about making their life work then 'being in love'. The first few episodes were definitely romantic and there are small kiss scenes throughout (even as they get older). I wouldn't watch it just expecting romance though, more of a family drama.
dude if anyone else played the character of Zheng Yu Shi / Noah, it probably would 've come off as cringy or even unwatchable ( because the character is just hard to pull off). But these actors are pulling off the interesting yet unsual plot so well, I smell a good one.
I'm so confused about where people found the grooming/pedo angle? I watched it and it was completely fine and cute?? lol are we not watching the same thing??
Two words: Amanda Bynes. The way media destroyed her career and the way public turned their backs on her. And the…
I grew up watching " she's all that" and "what a girl wants" also her other rom coms. Unfortunately in her case, she needed serious help but people just wanted to hate on her " good girl gone bad" story.
I disagree a little .. and Hollywood is pretty forgiving towards men and so is the Music industry ....
Key word being "trust". If the public can trust the star even after a scandal on intimate level there's hope for their recovery. It depends to which extent the public felt betrayed. If your friend did this to her partner, would you still want to spend time with her? I agree though that like all industries the entertainment industry is run heavily on sexism. Men always have an easier time of it in comparison to women because of the "men will be men" mentaility. Hollywood still runs on reputation just like any other industry so i still stand by what I said.
Someone in the comments said "People still watch Hollywood movies despite their actors scandal".I would have to…
Someone said in the comments that she still hasn't apologised but her ex partner who she abused has despite his depressive episode. I personally can't tolerate that and doubt I could enjoy seeing her on screen now.
