Yes, but I still think we should take drama as drama and not see it through book's perspective as it often gets confusing.
For example, as you said the drama characters of TTEOTM were mostly different from the book characters including TTJ.
Drama sort of didn't explore the reason why LSS couldn't bring herself to believe TTJ in XL's issue.
And many drama watchers had the same doubt but they often get explained how TTJ was toxic and manipulative in the book. However he was just shown to be changing and being upright in Jing arc as an emperor that LSS almost blurted out the truth about evil bone. Then suddenly she went back to seeing him as an enemy in XL's case.
They could have given a better reasoning for her in the drama as their character arcs in the drama were significantly different.
