To be honest, this drama is the only one where she didn't receive much hate, which is great. Without the two leads, not many people would have had it on their radar for a long time. But with her other dramas, no matter how well she acted, there were always hateful comments. I really hope this drama will prove her true talent as an actress.

I'm totally loving their chemistry in this one. It's a total slap in the face to those who blamed Yuxi for ruining Stand By Me when it was really the scriptwriters' fault.

It's great to see so many people showing their love for Yuxi in this drama, but it's also kinda sad when she doesn't get much attention because she's really talented. I know Cheng Yi is more popular, but it still bums me out when she doesn't also get the recognition she deserves.

I don't get why there are so many hate comments about Zhang Yuxi in whatever drama she's in. Like she's just following the script. Sure, she's been in some roles that didn't quite showcase her talents, but she's proven herself as a capable actress multiple time. If she was bad, especially with a co-star like Cheng Yi, it would be obvious, but she holds her own. Stand by Me was a bit boring, but it's not the actors' fault, the script was just bad. It's funny how everyone loves to complain about the female lead or any slightly annoying female character, but they adore the male lead or any annoying male character who does the exact same thing.
Zhang Yuxi did a great job in this drama, chemistry is a two-way street, it's about both the script and the actors.
I just wish people would be kinder and more normal when it comes to judging an actress.

Nobody's identity has ever been stolen. Because of your proximity to someone, you don't "naturally" fall in love. They could put up with each other. If Bingyan spent her life with Tianlei, she would just be miserable. However, given their personality traits, Yuhu would find it devastating to live with the general. Yuhu didn't make Tianlei silly; rather, she allowed him to be himself and at ease around her. Tianlei has always been silly. In front of Bingyan, he would be tense, which would finally suffocate the two of them. Additionally, Tianlei ACTUALLY begged her to stay after falling in love with her; she never tried to make a swap and even stated that she was willing to return Tianlei to Bingyan; he was the one who was opposed to it. They do eventually cross paths, but it's clear from the following episodes that they won't be interested in one another beyond their rightfully mistaken partners.

i am not going to take any yuhu slander. Like did everyone forget she is literally a teenager?!? she is supposed to be a little naive while bingyan is older and more mature bcoz she is literate.

I personally think the drama is great if you aren't looking for much plot. it's like a drama to watch if you are bored and don't want to think a lot. I don't understand why people are arguing about which couple is better when all four of them are main characters and have equal screen time. Plus, it's a remake of a drama from 2001! Obviously, the plot is going to be filled with cliches and overused tropes, but I'm just glad they didn't change much from the original. I think the actors did their best with the script they had.

the whole point of the show is that the grooms were switched but they were the rightful partner for each other. Tian lei's personality compliments yu hu, and Bingyan's goes with the general. Thats what the drama is trying to tell.

its not exactly about high school though, its about them meeting after their high school when they both are mature, only a few parts are in high school. i feel like because she is beautiful and mature she fits the role well cuz yknow wen yifan is more on the calm and mature side. SWL hasnt acted in any where he is the oldest one right? lol he is the lee do hyun of cdramaland

But the character Wen Yifan is a mature and cold (kinda) woman. I do think she can do a great job in these types of characters. i do agree with the cutesy characters that she takes but Wen Yifan is more on the calm, mature side and if you have watched Yuxi's other works, she defo fits the role

Female characters on this platform are always judged for every little thing, from their voice to their appearance, while male characters who insult women are praised. I urge you to watch a drama and think critically about the characters' decisions. This drama is much deeper than some people make it out to be, so I hope everyone backs off from criticizing female characters unless it's genuinely harmful.

I recently finished watching this drama and I was excited to see that others loved it as much as I did. However, I was shocked to read comments bashing Ding Xian. I disagree with those comments because she is not childish at all; she actually acts her age. Some comments claim that she lacks agency, as if she didn't grow up in a family where everything was decided for her. The only person who supported her in making her own choices was Zhou Siyue, so it's natural for her to want to be near him. She has mentioned numerous times that she is unsure about her future plans, but she eventually figures it out and excels in it. People seem to forget that everyone does foolish things for love. It seems like people want flawed characters until those flaws belong to a woman. I have seen countless praises for Zhou Siyue, but only a few comments about how he treated Ding Xian based on his insecurities. I loved this drama because the characters grow from being kids to adults with real issues.
Rainbow Xu and Chen Zhe Yuan BOTH, did a wonderful job in acting out their parts, it really hurts to see rainbow being just commodity for you to praise the male actor. The reason still remains dear to many viewers is because of them both.
I understand that many have their own opinions about things, but bashing a female character for these petty things and turning back and praising a male character for it is shameful. if you can understand Zhou Siyue, you can use your critical thinking skills to understand Ding Xian.
