I am interested in watching this drama, BUT whoa! reading the comments it seem that there a lot of dysfunctional…
Yeah, it's good. The whole dysfunctional family thing gets on my nerves and the plot just pisses us all off. But the show actually tackles it in a way that makes you stop and really think. The chemistry between the leads is what makes this show popular, so you should definitely check it out!
Sorry, I don't feel bad for him at all because if he really did what he did, he's a bad seed. After so many years…
Yeah he messed up. But i do understand him even if i don't like him anymore. I get he resents FYS cuz in his mind, FYS got everything he wanted, A loving mother, a grandmother who accepted his mother, a father (although absent) and now he is in a loving relationship with someone who he likes other than for company alliance unlike him
i'm really trying my best to be in his fu xizhou's shoes, but I really can't understand the hate he has for his…
yeah, he never directly told him that he was the who killed his mom, but he implied he was the reason which is kind of dumb thing to say to a person who is recovering from depression and had nothing to do with his mother accident, if anything its FYS's mother that started the butterfly effect
I don't think being low budget automatically means it's bad, honestly. The clothes they wore were actually really…
i think it won't be graphic as it is a cdrama, if it was a cmovie, 100% it would've been more brutal but the way it was shot, i mean anyone would flinch a little when the car crashed into those steel pipes.

Yeah, and him implying that FYS was to blame for his mom's death is just messed up. Like, come on, we all know he didn't do it. What about the camera footage and the witnesses? He should be mad at his stepmom instead. Why take it out on FYS, who's just trying to help people and do their research?

Oh, I don't think they were like, forced to work together or anything haha. They've actually worked together twice before this, so they're pretty comfortable with each other. I mean, if they were forced, I don't think they'd be having so much fun doing the show lol.

I think the accident had an impact. Did you want him to actually be in one, lol? It's just a Youku show, I don't think they'd allow anything too graphic to be televised. Cdramas usually don't show much, it's mostly all talk and no action. But I disagree about the accident not being impactful in this show. We can see him struggling, pushing people away, and not being able to walk. I feel like the episodes where he's struggling really show us how a bright, optimistic, and cheerful person can become so depressed by an accident, mind you it wasn't just the accident, it was also the guilt that he might've killed his brother's mother, his will was completely shattered. He even pushed away the one person he wanted to see, Zhu Jiu.
He literally fell down the stairs and dragged himself outside to find evidence to clear her name. I think after he left her in the show, he expected her to give up. I mean, who would come back to someone who kept hurting them? So, he thought their relationship was over. But then we see him holding the mint, and he's still obviously in love with her. And when she came back, he was moved, just like anyone would be if someone was so dedicated to them like Zhu Jiu was.
FYS and ZJ have one of the strongest relationship bonds I've seen in a modern drama. I'm glad their reconciliation was simple, because FYS knew she wouldn't leave until he gave in when she kissed him, and he wanted to give in multiple times but thought he would ruin her life. ZJ knew he was pushing her away, and it wasn't because he loved her any less. I don't think him consistently pushing her away was because he fell out of love.
Personally, I think over the years, they fell more in love with each other. We can see him longing for her, from the moment he hears her voice, to subtly smiling at her drunken rant, to when she cooks for him. He pushed her away because he thought she would eventually resent him, which he says after they get together.
You can clearly see the lack of budget in this production. Though i love love cheng yi this drama is slow pace…
I don't think being low budget automatically means it's bad, honestly. The clothes they wore were actually really comfy. Cheng Yi even said he wore his own clothes because they were more comfortable and matched his character's style. And the script isn't half bad either, (I mean we are still on ep 18, there are 39). The romance is great, the actors have natural chemistry, the story is decent, and if you check out the behind-the-scenes footage, it looks like the actors genuinely had fun filming the show. So, I don't think they were forced into it. Cheng Yi and Zhang Yuxi (especially Cheng Yi) were already getting popular when they decided to do this drama, so they wouldn't choose a script they didn't want to do. There's obviously a reason it got such a high heat index of 10,000 - the drama is a success, even if it had a low budget.
I kinda like how FYS treats Chen Le in their relationship. FYS only acts like that towards Chen Le because that's…
I think if FYS suddenly becomes nice towards CL, it would make their relationship awkward. i believe the dynamic they have now is actually funny and cute.
does anybody know what the story is about? the trailer left me very confused?
It's like a dystopian love story where true love is a rare occurrence. In the adult world, love only seems to happen when there's temptation, selfishness, and compromise involved. So, there's just a hint of sincerity. I am guessing it's going to be a little bit explicit and mature which is surprising considering this might be Tian Xiwei's first time playing an extremely serious role
I think it's probably FYS's mom. But honestly, I don't think there's a clear main bad guy here because they all have valid reasons for what they're doing. The only one who seems a bit irrational is FYS's mom, to be honest.
His mom is so selfish, She really only cares about the company rather than her son's heath😒
His mom never seems to understand that your son is alive and back to his normal self because of his love for ZJ. And now you're asking him to leave her for a company?! Seriously, no matter how much you want a better future for your son, just let him be happy.
