The way the show develops its characters is so unique. I haven't read the novel, but I think they did a pretty good job adapting it, especially since you can learn so much from just one episode. It's so fun to come up with theories, which you don't really find in modern romance dramas. And let's talk about the acting! Oh my god, they all work so well together. Cheng Yi and Zhang Yuxi are particularly outstanding, but the whole cast is talented. The songs are great too. The situation the characters are in is just so tragic. Imagine falling in love with someone and doing everything to be together, only to have something tragic happen that breaks your will. And then, out of nowhere, you hear the voice of the person you've loved for years. It's both beautiful and heartbreaking, and it's totally changing my life right now in a metaphorical sense.

i think zzz's character is pretty interesting too. It's not often that we see characters being so upfront about being selfish and stating their intentions. I actually kinda dig her character, to be honest.

Omg, I totally gave her the benefit of the doubt, but I'm kinda interested in her character too. It's pretty gutsy to admit you're selfish. I just want my girl to move on and find someone else, like seriously, how many times does she have to get rejected?

Honestly, I can't stand his family. They're so obsessed with winning a game they're already losing, while the one person who truly loved them is suffering somewhere. I truly think that if it wasn't for ZJ, he would have completely disappeared from their lives. FYS lost his cheerful life while they're both playing a stupid game of chess. It seriously pisses me off.

Intense love didn't really care about the plot, it was more about the characters. But this one is all about the plot.

The show is all about forming a strong emotional bond with the audience through its characters, which can take a bit of time. So, some episodes might feel a little slow, but overall, I'd say the pace is pretty decent. Surprisingly, they manage to establish the plot, characters, and even the romantic aspect in just 14 episodes, which is quite impressive for a modern romance show. Just a heads up, if you're expecting every episode to be light and fluffy, this might not be the right drama for you. I mean, the actor is Cheng Yi, so you can definitely expect some heartbreak along the way.

I don't know how ZJ does it, she's just so strong and loyal. She's been constantly pushed away and hurt by FYS in the past few episodes, but she still stays strong. Honestly, she's the best character in this show for me. It's both painful and empowering to see her resilience and strong personality. Zhang Yuxi really nailed it, this is definitely her best drama. I love all her romantic comedies, but in this one, she really shines as ZJ. I can't think of a better actress to play this role. I think with this, people will finally see her as a talented actress who can handle any emotional role.

Even though I can't stand her usual behavior, that particular scene was just frustration. I do believe she loves him in her own messed up way. I mean, when someone you care about goes through a terrible accident and stops responding completely, it's understandable that she would get frustrated and sad, especially considering how lively and cheerful FYN used to be.

His brother is seriously getting on my nerves, you know? FYS has always been super nice and sweet to him, so why can't he just direct his anger towards his grandfather, and stepmother? They're the ones who actually did something wrong to him.
And honestly, FYS needs to relax a bit. He's really breaking my heart into a million pieces.

I think she probably thought he didn't want her there since he just suddenly stopped talking to her. I mean, they were in love and all, so she was understandably a bit unprofessional and emotional like any of us would be, lol.
But when he called her name while he was sick, it kinda made her think that maybe he still had feelings for her. At least, that's what I like to think.

I think she might have totally misunderstood what was going on?! Like, he said he would help her rescue those kids, but then he suddenly stopped talking to her and she found out that Ling Tian Pharma had no intention of saving those kids. She probably thought he lied and that's why he ghosted her. I mean, I would have liked some explanation too. But I think she just misunderstood and got mad at him for ghosting her. She might have also thought they were just a casual thing or something.
Also, I think she totally freaked out when they ran into each other again. I mean, just imagine seeing the guy you were head over heels for, who completely disappeared on you, suddenly screaming at you to leave. It must have been a real shocker for her.
