OMGGGGG they still friendsWhat about jun and mao ?are they dating for real like the rumors say???
hahaha I'm actually not so shocked that they are still friends, but it's certainly nice that they let us know and have this nostalgic moment , right?^^ I love F4 <3~~~~

ahhhhhhh that infamous over-10-year-old rumor xDDDDD I have noooooo idea, man, the haven't shared any pictures about that hahaha

I've been in the Jdrama/HanaDan/Jun/ARashi (all connected for me <3) fandom since around 10 yrs now, and this rumor has been going on forevaaa. While in the beginning I was very jealous of Mao and hoped it was not true etc., now it's just so boring. So wether or not the rumors are true they should just come out with it, cause it's exhausting for us, and I'm sure for them as well. Their happiness is what matters most!

Finally got to watch this movie I've been waiting for since forever!

And I have to say that I was sceptical of it since it was first announced, with Jun's paparazzi pics from the sets in that Harry Potter-esque looks and all xD
And especially after hearing that that girl Kasumi, who is like around10 yrs his junior? and who I don't understand why she's so popular to be playing in eeeeeveryyyythingggg....

Anyway. I'm a huge Jun fan since the beginning, my love for Jdramas and Arashi began with my love for Jun, but that makes me especially critical of him, so though I love him, I'll be the first criticize, cause I know he deserves better and stuff, you know?

So when I heard the storyline was that of a quasi-teacher/student relationship (well the fact that she's graduated doesn't really change much...) , and that it had to be the girl who played his "sister" before! (which was much more believable!) and that they would have a bedscene (oh gosh...) I knew I wouldn't like a lot of the movie before watching it...

(What is it with the recent wave in movies with this storyline of older man/younger girl or teacher/student, especially with Johnny's talents starring in them like Kame in "P to JK", Toma in "Sensei!".?! There was also Yamapi with "Kinkyori bla bla bla" a couple of years ago. It's such a shame that as the male actors get older and the female actors who are popular get younger they resign to these narratives, which in reality is pretty disturbing but because neither the actors are believable, cause they just do not look like teachers, neither age-wise, nor style-wise, no matter how much they put on glasses and stuff, and because we are fans and want them in love movies, we disregard the distrubing side of it all. Ok, maybe they are too old for high-school romance stuff, but I'm sure they can still pull of roles of college students! Why the need to cast all these actors in "dad"-roles? xDDD And I'm afraid it's going to get worse with time....)

But still, it's been a while seeing J in a movie, and I was waiting for it just for his sake.

So back to the movie: I knew from the trailers and teasers and all that it would have the air of an "art" movie, you know, the slow pace and the greyish colors, not much dialogue and all. But whoooooahh, was this movie DEPRESSING!!!!!!
I hadn't expected that. It was on the verge of boringness, but most importantly pretty depressing! I mean there's another Jun-movie which might compare to this, where he loves his sister played by EIkura Nana, in terms of pace. But it was not as depressing as Narratage was. And even though it was also about incest, another disturbing theme, there was still some cute scenes as I recall.
Narratage, though just sucked my life energy out... The style of the movie with the colors and dialogues was in the literal sense depressing, even the way the actors spoke in a continuously "calm" (more like "emotionless") voice.
But the side-stories, with the teacher's past (SPOILER: Btw, I though his wife was his mother in the first flashback she appeared xDD She looked too old, or I don't know... I mean come on Jun deserves better than that! xDDD) and Kasumi and her boyfriend (SPOILER: who turns into a total psycho!) just served to make everything more uncomfortable and depressing. The girl was literally looking as if she would burst crying in each frame, literally! Besides the supporting cast in the theater-club scenes, there was no happy person in this movie, just sadness, deep sadness....

Besides the main issue of the heavy atmosphere, I didn't like the characters.
Kasumi-'chan' is just floating around with her at-all-times-teary-eyes even though she is the focal point of the story, she is in fact the main role with the two guys being her supporting actors, but she lacked depth or I don't know, she let them do what they wanted with her too much fr my taste. Why not speak out instead of putting on those teary eyes?
The guy who played her later-boyfriend was a jerk in disguise, not only jerk, but straight out psycho (which I didn't like to see on that actor, who is famous for everyone have a second-lead syndrome for cause he always plays these cool roles. but hmm, maybe it's a nice change for him to try out, but the way it was portrayed her was just too much...) and she just let him behave that way. Of course, I know it is difficult for women to defend or free themselves in such situations, but she did not say a word, which was of course the overall problem of this movie's lack of dialogue...
But worse than his character was the character they made Jun play! He turned out to be a whiney, needy grown man, calling his former student in the middle of the night, telling his still-student everyting about his wife and stuff ( which teacher does that?!). And then that infamous bed scene, which came right after he declared that he's going back to his wife!!!!!!! Comeeee oooooon! I mean, that to me was much worse than the teacher-student thing! -.-

In short, I guess what I was trying to say was that not even Jun was able to save this movie for me, unfortunately....

ok, I have to stop because else I could go on and on, and it's already such a long comment and lot of you might not understand what the hell I was trying to say ( me neither). But I just didn't want this page to be left alone xD

The laid back guy is Taishi Nakagawa, and he is the reason many are watching this show myself included.
Hey again! I started watching "Yakou no Kanransha" today, cause I'm currently in my mystery-phase xD

And I had no idea who was in it! So when I saw first the actress playing Oto and then this Taishi guy I was sooo surprised xDDD

I had no idea they had acted together before, and they are soooo young, like I just checked that drama is from2013, which means she was 15 at the time and he 14!!!!!!! They're sooo cute , I mean looks-wise (he as this longish hair!! xDD)
But the their roles are so angsty ( especially the girl who is quite a beast in there) and have more depth to them, so I was positively surprised!!! I mean so different and even at that age, which shows how good their acting is!!

So the problem with Taishi in HanaHare is just that the character does not give much, which is of course to make the other guy appear more interesting, and this is all just typical of the genre.

That's why I'm really glad, that I get to see another side to him, and her, too, now ;)

Ah, I think this movie is already on my to-watch- list!
Yeah, I think it's just that both of their characters are so one-sided up until now, you know what I mean? And that's so typical, just to make them the complete opposite of each other and stuff... I miss like a twist, and maybe it will still come. So I really might like him in another role, I should check him out , thanks ;) Also the other guy, too, cause he's a "Johnny" after all xD

I know there's a huge second lead syndrome going on about this drama.

But since I honestly began watching it because I'm a huge fan of the origin and of Jun, for me neither of the new guys is that great xD

That's what I was trying to say, like one moment I find one cute, but on the other hand he's such a weakling with his high-pitched voice and all, so I think the other is cooler when he comes and rescues her with all his fighting and gentlemen skills, but he lacks like the dorkishness of the other guy, so I can't decide xDDD

I know it's a totally new story independnt of HanaDan, but after having seen the perfect protagonist there I can't stop comparing both to him haha I openly admit that I'm very biased, and it's even a miracle that I actually keep on watching !

Maybe I'm just too old for these young actors xD

I hope I was not misunderstood with my stupid critiques and did not offend fans of the new guys, I really didn't mean it that way. Sorry if I did! It was just an innocent rant of my opinion, cause I really miss discussing every little detail of dramas with someone xP

and there goes Hanazawa Rui ~~~~~ !! Wow, Oguri slipped right back into that character, I hadn't expected that cause I thought lookswise he changed a lot. I wish it was a longer appearance though :/

Also why did Domyoji get a flashback, whereas Rui is shown in present time!? -.-''
I guess they're going pretty much according to the manga, cause I had seen these two cameo appearances in the manga. But I still hope for the final or something they surprise us with another present-time Domyouji appearance! Pleaaaaaase~~~~!

I have to continue my rant with the reapearance of Ebise Garden PLace!!!!!!!!!!! grrhhhhhh are they really trying to trivialize that holy place or what?? Why do they have to include it in every episode?! Enough already! That place is untouchable!

On another note: the "love story" between Oto and Haruto is developing so fast, wow. I mean Makino and Domyouji took much longer, first for Domyouji to realize his own feelings and then for Makino to return them back (final episode).
This might have to do with the fact that Haruto's character is much more likable than Domyouji's DoS-character who I and many others hated for the first 3-4 episodes until Rui went of to France, after which he slowly showed his nice side. But this Haruto is just faking his bad-assness since he's a coward underneath, which was revealed right from the beginning.

There is not much tension such as the love-hate relationship of Makino and Domyouji and they already seem like "friends", Haruto is already cute, and even Oto is aleady affected by that side of him. All this is pretty fast and might get boring equally fast.

Of course the tension availbale here is with that Ninja-Hase guy xDDD I was so impressed with his martial arts skills that came out of nowhere xDDD
But he is too ... hmmm what's the word? relaxed? or even boring (again) xDD I mean he's there but, not really, cause he's so laid back, just like Rui was... I wish he'd do more!
But from this onset we already see where this is going. History will repeat itself I guess.
I don't know which way I like more, cause neither of the guys is my favorite, so far...

In the preview for next episode there was no hint for a new cameo :/ But I still hope for something and will be waiting hehehe

Not really connected with this show (though I strongly hope it is!):

Omg Omg, just saw Matsuda Shota's Instagram post of him with Oguri and the actor who played Akira, tagged with #F4 and Hana Yoi Dango! and at the bottom it says "Taken by Domyouji"!!!! kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa <3 <3 <3
I have no idea if this might be a hint at further cameos of them in this show, but it got me sooooo excited right now. Even this picture reunion is enough <3

Oh and btw, DAMN Johnny's Entertainment and their photo ban!!!!! > <

You can check it out here:

To be fair, Haruto probably does not know about Ebisu Garden Place as that was a private place for Tsukasa and…
Right? I mean, I am veeery biased and all, but if I look at it objectively, I think it came too soon in the narrative and they also showed it like hastily?
The moment it appeared was a big "awww"-moment, but the profundity was lost too quickly. They should have placed it in a more significant moment of the plot, something like a final scene, you know what I mean.
In this case, it was so obvious that they showed it just to show it / At least that's how it looked to me

Yes that's what I mean, therefore it looked just too forced. It was inserted too casually into the plot. That place should have been dealt with with much more respect! xP

Ok, so there was no cameo by J in this episode as it was rumored, except for the flashback moment of F4 in shadows :(
But I just loooooove how Domyouji is mentioned alllll the time! They even went into his palace-like house <3 and the cameos of the old maid and his assistant (ahhh, I forgot his name !) were goooold. God they didn#t change one bit, except for the maid's white hair! (The same I though of the actress / yester-year idol who plays Oto's mother here. She played Nino's mum in Yamada Tarou Monogatari which is like what 11 years ago! She is still looking the saaaame! God, Nihonjins give me your genes!!)
So DOmyouji's presence is felt in every episode, which is so cool. In the preview of next episode he is also mentioned again, kyaaaa.
This opens up the possibility for him to appear at any given time, so I hope there'll be some surprise for us fans <3
ALso I'd love to see all older characters too.
JUst the possibility of their appearance makes this drama worthwhile watching.

Apart from that the story between the leads is kinda cute. But I hate the high-pitched or husky , don't know how to describe it, voice of the lead, which takes away any chance of charisma. Compared to J's deep breath-taking voice that was the epitome of charisma, he sounds truly like the weak student he is supposed to play...
And the major no-go of this episode was the very forced and unacceptable use of Ebisu Garden Place! It took Domyouji a couple of episodes to dare and ask Makino for a date there, but here they just casually decide to go eat pancakes and meet there on the second episode! I mean how dare you to meet at that sacred place!!!! And this guy wasn'
t even aware of his feelings when he asked her to meet with him. Just because you want to become like Domyouji doesn't mean you can imitate everything he did! Don't take Ebisu Garden Place so lightly!!! -__-''

Edit:
The name of the actress playing Nino's mum in Yamada Tarou and Oto's mum here is Kikuchi Momoko.
And Domyouji's assistant is of course Nishida, how could I forget!
