A Familiar Story Told Exceptionally
I enjoyed this. While there were a few ridiculous stage moves and props, I felt the script and narrative were strong, so it didn't matter. I even read part of the manhua because I that connected with the onscreen performance. I enjoyed the roles, believing the performers played them well and seamlessly. The character dynamics worked so well for me that I was rooting for the leads the entire time. When one of them burned their rivals, I even cheered.
The basic storyline isn’t new—it’s about love and betrayal, revenge, and hidden identities. However, the way the leads delivered their stories made the narrative engaging and impactful.
