Dropped: I Wanted to Like This One, but the Story Didn’t Pull Me In
This is a partial review covering episodes 1–39 only.
Unfortunately, this one just didn’t hold my interest. I went into it solely for Liu Ning. I really enjoy the raw energy and skillset he brings to the vertical and micro-drama space, and I find that he takes on a good range of roles with interesting plots.
However, I didn’t find that here. I didn’t mind that the production was raw—I can overlook weak script if the story is engaging and unique. But the premise felt overdone for me. I’ve seen too many similar transmigration narratives where revenge and misunderstandings are used as the primary plot devices. So, it ultimately didn’t stand out to me. I ended up letting it go halfway through.
