This show could have been great if they focused on the friendship and lives of the three women and had zero romance between Young Eun and Jae Guk. Their romance is shallow and tiring.
Is this the best kdrama of 2021 for me? Yes, it maybe so.
Written brilliantly, acted splendidly. Unlike other historical kdramas, this focused on people in the palace rather than palace politics. It was a rhetoric about the lack of freedom one had, especially if they were a woman.
This story... This tragedy... How it breaks my heart.
After having watched Episodes 1 - 5, I now understand why JTBC wasn't fazed by the petitions, the tweets and all the negative news. This drama has absolutely nothing to do with student protestors. It's about the politics between North and South Korea during a turbulent time.
Here is Forbes article. Don't believe some random twitter, reddit or tumblr post.https://www.forbes.com/sites/joanmacdonald/2021/12/20/first-two-episodes-of-snowdrop-do-not-alleviate-viewer-concerns/
This drama is quite good, but there is only 1 inconsistent, in this drama Kim hyun soo's character is a good student,…
I would say the one main inconsistent fact about the murder is that Kim Hyun Soo is left handed, but he's being accused of using his right hand to stab the victim.
But yeah, he's a pushover. Which is why when the girl gave him drugs, he took it because he was enamored by her. He literally does anything anyone tells him to do for fear of saying no.
As someone who has worked in the criminal justice system, this show is frustratingly accurate.
The justice system is rigged against the innocent, because to survive it, you have to be cool, calculated and have deep pockets at your disposal. The innocents are always a nervous wreck. They flounder, do the wrong things, and are deemed guilty no matter how they react. It's worse if they have no money or connections.
I've seen so many posts saying that the ML is an idiot, but not at all. He's a pawn. He's young. He's naive. And he's being taken advantage of by people who know how the system works.
As per my experience, the people who make good decisions in such a situation are repeat offenders. And the ML is not that.
Their conversation reminded me a lot of my own breakup. I was under a lot of stress, too many demands during that…
No problem. We don't know yet if that's the true reason she broke up with him, but it seems like it since they both loved each other when they broke up.
OK so now I clearly don't get what would have been the possible reason of their brea up. I mean the starting of…
Their conversation reminded me a lot of my own breakup. I was under a lot of stress, too many demands during that time, that I didn't have the mental strength to be in a relationship. So I ended it, because it was the only thing I could drop from my life for some form of relief. One less demanding person. - We did end up getting back together because the feelings were still there. But, yep, he resented me for breaking up with him for a looong time. The conversation they portrayed was eerily similar to our own.
