Vagabond didn't really make the action right. There is big holes and misteps during action scenes. But actions…
Good point. I hope they give the answers soon. Right now the show is entertaining, but quite a few times my mind goes 'that makes no sense' and I would really like to stop thinking that.
That first episode has to be one of the best first episodes I've seen in years. And the second episode didn't disappoint. The acting, the directing... the WRITING! Everything is amazing!
Maybe you should read a newspaper instead of a sci-fi kdrama where people fly through the sky if you are so sensitive…
As a HUGE sci-fi fan, I agree with you. It's not about realism, it's about practicality. In sci-fi, you don't go "because science" as an explanation. I have a feeling the writers are those who have never delved into sci-fi or action before. I mean, the Control Bureau are basically storm troopers. They do nothing, and when they do fire, it's bad aim lol. - If the action sequences were better shot, no one would notice these problems, I think.

I guess my main issue is that in shows like Vagabond, the people after him posed an actual threat, in Sisyphus, that threat level is practically non existent. I watch a lot of OCN detective dramas, so I'm used to the whole 'a group of men standing around to attack the protagonist one at a time' thing. But they always have a reason for it: to capture that person alive. In this show, only the hand to hand combat is shot well. The people after them only wait until PSH can defend herself before they attack, and their goal is to kill her. So there is no tension from the people who are hunting them. Maybe because they casted based on good looks and not acting ability. The wire work is not great either. I don't mind the green screen mishaps, but the other stuff is just not great.
Am surprised over the action scene comments. The PD made City Hunter ,a superb action drama with many cool sequences.Am…
The action sequences are very badly directed. The people hunting them are like storm troopers. They wait until their target can defend themselves before they attack. lol.
The action scenes and the CG is ridiculous!!!! I don't know what's happened to the PD who he did famous others…
Completely agree about the action scenes. Ridiculous and badly shot. As for PSH, I've seen her in #Alive and she was good. She fit that badass role too. And I've seen JSW in Stranger and he was phenomenal. I think it's bad casting.
The fight scene is a pointless extra. A bunch of guys with pistol trying to capture someone and they just holding…
Exactly. The cops, the Control Bureau, the assassin... They just hold their guns and wait... and wait... and wait. There is no real threat from any of them. They only shoot the guns when the people they are hunting have already left, even if their aim is to kill a person, they don't do it even if they have a clear shot lmao. The action sequences are directed badly.
I wish they didn't have so many plot holes during the action sequences. Shows like Vagabond did action right, and for a show that is 40% action per episode, there are too many logical plot holes in the action sequences for the sake of surprising the audience.
I would say it is more like Father is Strange than Reply 1988, and even then it is not terribly close.
Yes, it does seem like quite a lot of content. I watched Full House, and really enjoyed it, so will try out the rest of the recs. There's nothing better than a good quality family drama.
Glad i'm not the only one who enjoyed this version. Sure some of the deeper, emotional story telling wasn't as…
I prefer the Cdrama version over this, but I agree with what you said 100%. While the C drama version was better in almost all aspects (acting, directing, storytelling, vibe), the main lead is far better, softer and adorable in the Kdrama version. I find it hard to get behind the main couple in the Cdrama version, but totally support the Kdrama version of the couple.
