I've noticed this. Recently I came across a few accounts that only rate 1 star for one or two dramas. No other updates. I guess the ratings get fixed when the mods delete these accounts. That's a lot of work for them.

I think creating fake accounts just to increase or decrease ratings is such an awful practice. It's like voter fraud. And some people actually try to justify it.

I hope the mods delete these fake accounts soon. It's the same people trying to manipulate ratings.

The ones I have come across are HJP and KSH fans though.

Until episode 12 the show has a solid arc. After that they cram a lot of twists and turns just like a daytime soap opera for no good reason.

A lot of people have dropped the show because of the yelling and the unlikeable characters.

Most of the comments on MDL, twitter, reddit are based on a ship war, which I encourage you not to look into. It depends on your taste, so watching the first few episodes will help you decide if this show is for you. Personally, I believe all the actors have chemistry with each other, and it is, primarily a story about youth trying to make their dreams come true. They did what Record of Youth tried but failed to do.

Luckily I don't care only about HJP.

I wish this show had 20 episodes instead of 16. I love all the characters SO MUCH.

The show ended with Jun being manipulative, selfish and dismissive of Ra-ra's pain (he laughed when she was crying, and he didn't apologise at all)... which is not a good relationship. The ending ruined their relationship and it went from cute to toxic fast. That's why people are rating it low. The end ruined the relationship and since the relationship is the basis of the drama, the drama itself.

It's because the relationship everyone loved turned toxic. Jun always lied to Ra-ra (From episodes 1 - 16), for various reasons (and nothing was justifiable, he lied just because), and never once felt bad about it or apologised. So pretending to be dead and then walking back as if nothing happened, laughing while she cried, acting like she was overreacting and then she forgave him in two minutes... Yikes. Jun always said he was doing things for Ra-ra, but he kept actively hurting her over and over again in the name of loving her. That... is not a good relationship.

And since the basis of the show is their relationship... and the show makes it seem like every time he hurt her on purpose was no big deal... It makes sense why people rate the show lower. Ra-ra would never do to Jun what Jun did to her. She lives an honest life. Jun though... He's never honest with Ra-ra, and the way the writers wrote him, the viewers don't trust him to ever be.

And to top it all off... He has never, not once, apologised. Toxic is right.
