Was waiting for the blatant subway product placements. This will now be known as Touch Your Subway or Subway Your…
Subway product placement is still the most natural product placement in hystory of dramas. I just can't when they do a 30 secs of a female lead putting on make up with more close ups than natural and only 1 label for all her make up xD I just can't deal with that.
From the first episode, i don’t really have a good impression. I don’t like how the depressed and suicidal…
I think you are looking from a wrong perspective. It's not the suicidal girl who is the bad guy. It's the girl that believes that appearance is everything, and therefore, because she is "ugly" (or believe she is), is suicidal, which is a very important point because many people today think that physical appearance is the key. She was painted as the bad guy because that lead her to do really bad things. But as the show moves forward, they start to show that she wasn't the bad guy, but her whole life she was lead to believe that appearance mattered the most and no one told her otherwise. But I don't think this shows is meant to put all suicidals at blame. This is more about physical appearance vs. personality than it is about suicide.
How can people say it's good, it's an awful movie, really guys. There's no accounting for taste, I know it, but…
EXACTLY!!!
Personally, maybe the movie would have been good if it had good actors... But it didn't the actors were terrible. The wigs also just made it look terribly fake and a cheap movie... Why not leaving their natural hairs? If they were faithful to their characters' personalities, the hair wouldn't have been a problem. In fact, Winry doesn't have a wig, and I wonder why she's the only one. But she's still a terrible actress. And why jump to the end of the story if they will do a 2nd movie? seriously, it was so rushed. The CGI also wasn't good, but I can understand that cause they didn't have money to do better. Maybe if they hadn't spent money on the wigs lol In the end, most of this was really bad. I think people enjoying it is due to their nostalgia towards the anime, cause when it comes to movie quality... I gave it a 5 xD
When Dong hoon was having a discussion with his wife in one of the scenes they mentioned he was studying abroad(not…
It's certainly weird in the ocidental world, but I think it's not that weird in korea... I'm just guessing, but Jennie from Blackpink was like that... Her mother asked her if she wanted to study abroad, she said yes, and then she went to study on new zealand alone at a young age. (13? I don't remember)... Maybe that's a thing because of the high suicide rate in korean high schools... So they send kids to study abroad, even without someone to take care of them... I'm really guessing because of Kim Jennie and this quote in the drama xD
OMG... This movie tainted the image I had of Kim Go Eun. It's just like, knowing Song Ji Hyo from RM, then…
well, she was 20 already, she was old enought to know what she was doing.
I kinda understand the shock of finding out that the actress that portrayed many innocent lovable roles isn't innocent at all... I'm quite impressed she did this movie too. But she's the one that must decide for her future and the things she wants to do, and I don't think we should judge her for making this movie. She's an actress. I admire this kind of actresses because if I was an actress I wouldn't have the courage to portray those roles, but they do. I think it's a challenge that not many women would take. To think that they are unpure, or sluts orwhatever because they did a role like this... I think it's something that society made us believe that's not correct, and we should open our minds a bit more
And I don't think that understanding the old man is weird. Many of us understood.
yoona did a better job than her previous works but no whether near a good performance. on the other hand, park…
I saw Hwarang, I'm saying that, in my opinion, I wasn't impressed with Hyun Sik at all. Kinda the opposite, actually, since I kinda liked him in Strong Woman. I thought he was lacking a bit. Park Seo Joon didn't impress me too, but that's because he has already in other roles, and his character in Hwarang wasn't a big challenge so yeah, but he did his job right, I blame the writters, In the end, I think their characters didn't make them justice. But anyway, I'm not against idols in k-dramas, cause I think they deserve the chance to be what they want and everyone learns. The thing is, they should start with secondary characters, which is not the case... I've seen many terrible actors become good after taking a major in acting, and I think all of them should do that before getting leading roles. And I do believe there are good idol actors. I think Yona did a great job in King In Love, except when her character had to cry... Fortunatelly it only happenned once in the drama, so she was great in most of it (I know she used to be a terrible actress. That what I mean by becoming good with experience and majors, wtv). Eunji from APink is also pretty good. IU in Scarlet Heart did a great job too. And no one else comes to my mind, but there are more... But in those that I've mentioned, I've seen many worse full-time actors than them
I actually liked her. She was strong in ways, clever, funny. A few more crying scenes I could do without. But…
yes , the writter gave her a bit too much crying scenes, true. But I still think she's a good character. Even though female story tellers among the young ladies are becoming popular in the historical k-dramas xD But I love all of them
The only good think about this drama is the actors. The story line sucked tbh
well, I loved it, but I can see what you are talking about. I think they should have focused more on the wonhwa and hwarang since it's something that was never touched on k-dramas before. I never knew there was something in which was requested female leaders in 7th century or close to that. They did a drama about something interesting in history and wrote a total cliché story xD
I still liked it. And I'm not an ARMY or a Shawol. I just like historical stuff easily
I mean... I liked Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, but I don't think it deserved awards(?) idk, I think Yona did a great job on The King in Love, more than Park Hyung Shik. I'm not even a fan xD And best actress? Huuum idk she's good, I just don't think it was the most impressive role done this year
Maybe it deserved the comedy award, but I think it's a bit tied with I am Not a Robot... Even though I don't know if it's classified as comedy or if is considered a 2017 drama xD If it's not then it deserved 100% the comedy award
It was a wrong choice to watch this with my parents
The movie was released at the cinema in my town after I watched it. My father also loves k-dramas and k-pop so he asked me if I wanted to go...
I was like... "Dad, I don't think you want to see that movie" xD he's a little bit prejudiced with gays, so I was srprised when he said "so what?" after I explained why. Still, there's no way I'd have watched this movie with my parents xD
U may be right cause of V and MinHo... the thing is that I'm not an Army neither a Shawol, and so I must have missed the hype xD too bad cause I love hystorical dramas :)
