We don't know yet, all we have is lots of fan theories and the writers playing mind games. Every episode I change my mind so I can't even give you my prediction.

I've been listening on repeat.

First, I've only watched three episodes and can only judge by the little I've seen.

I can see that the FL in this drama is a helping device for the ML, a tool and it is her whole life in this drama. Not cool.
But for me so far it seems like the writers made her THE BEST TOOL for the job. She isn't hysterical or stupid, and she saves him more than he saves her.
@KylaMontero made her seem brainless and useless, which makes me wonder if we are watching the same drama.

I'm guessing crime shows go through more censorship and re editing, and they don't even have the whole cast yet. I doubt we'll see this one before the second half of 2025.

The laws were changed AFTER they were done filming, not before. And if they air outside of China they'll loose money because the Chinese audience is bigger than the rest of the world. Plus, they need the governments permission to sell, anything created in China belongs to the communist party.

Japanese dramas aren't big on cinematography, they are mostly focused on the story. You'll often get scenes that are too dark, too light or have a bizarre yellow colour.
But I love them anyway, they do their own thing and have their own style.
