I also think the pulling was more to do with the corruption theme, but the damage has already been done for WIK, Immortality, Guardians Of The Lands and all the rest of the BLs waiting in line.
The Untamed was aired when their law was that you could have a censored version of a BL book. But since then their law has changed and it now prohibits any drama adaptations from a BL novel, even if it's toned down to a friendship. You know what, you may have a point there about manga based dramas in general. They are a womans fantasy and that's probably why we love them. I hate the toxic modern Cdramas with the men always cheating and how normal they make it seem. If the antidote for that is a good reverse harem dorama, then bring it on!

These guys are momentarily there as a prop or a plot device, I really don't see them as part of a love triangle because 90% of the scenes are the ML and FL alone.
But the important thing is that we both love this drama.
