That said, their situation isn't ideal or necessarily right and this drama addresses this fact repeatedly, the writers never try to whitewash the problem and that's probably why we as viewers are so forgiving. And then there's the great script and story telling. We get how similar they are despite the age gap, how they are perfect for each other. They are both weird outsiders but when they are together they shine and are on the same strange wavelength. They also have a mature relationship and he respects her as his equal. He isn't grooming her or anything, she's actually safer with him than with a horney teenager.
We don't know yet, all we have is lots of fan theories and the writers playing mind games. Every episode I change my mind so I can't even give you my prediction.

I think it was probably intended to be much longer, but the communist party doesn't like SciFi and explosive topics like human rights, so half of it was edited out by censorship.

I can see that the FL in this drama is a helping device for the ML, a tool and it is her whole life in this drama. Not cool. But for me so far it seems like the writers made her THE BEST TOOL for the job. She isn't hysterical or stupid, and she saves him more than he saves her. @KylaMontero made her seem brainless and useless, which makes me wonder if we are watching the same drama.
I'm guessing crime shows go through more censorship and re editing, and they don't even have the whole cast yet. I doubt we'll see this one before the second half of 2025.
