Having a child before marriage is common these days, so I don’t see what the scandal is that they’re trying so hard to hide (does he kill the mother of his child ?). He’s such a wealthy man any rich woman would marry him without hesitation. Even the biological children of rich people are usually raised by caretakers, not by the parents themselves. So why does the ML suddenly need the FL, and want to control her ?
In the drama, all of this is portrayed as acceptable, but practically, I don’t see any logic in it. It would have been different if the ML truly loved the FL and was afraid she might reject him after learning about his past but that’s not the case here at all .
A common trope in vertical dramas is when the female lead, after discovering her fiancé’s infidelity, ends up in a relationship with fiancé’s uncle or another relative. Now, many of these vertical drama tropes are being adapted into short dramas. nothing newness.
Basically, this is a typical mother-in-law and daughter-in-law drama where both women don’t want to share their respective son or husband. It’s presented in a highly glamorized , thriller and political manner. Such dramas are very common in South Asia, the only difference being that they are centered around kitchen politics.
The novel is completely different from the drama, like really, it's a whole different story, so honestly not many…
thanks! I know that, but I also understand that there will be some references which will give me an idea of what the story is about and the direction it might take.
