I’m open to any kind of romance, as long as it’s conveyed effectively to the audience. But her scenes felt too plastic , lifeless , forcefull and lacked genuine emotion, which is why they couldn’t hold my attention. This is where our opinions differ. ❤

If that incident truly had an emotional impact on her, it should’ve been reflected in the screenplay at that very moment not randomly much later. And if her love supposedly developed because of all those moments she shared with the prince, then none of those scenes gave even the slightest hint of that. Either both actors failed to convey the emotion, or the screenplay was poorly written, or the writer suddenly decided, out of nowhere, “Let’s just throw this in too.”
Whatever the reason, it just didn’t come across the way it should have.
People will feel sad for male second leads in every drama, but whenever they see female second leads, they hate…
I really liked Meng's character it's the first time I've actually liked the role of the "other woman" in a drama. If every rival was like her smart, calm, composed, and strong then why wouldn't people like her? Characters like her bring depth and class to the story.
This forced romance is awkward to watch, one is shy and the other one is an immature bully. Poor guy is being…
Honestly, it makes no sense how the ML's sister suddenly falls in love with the prince out of nowhere. There's no buildup, no emotional development, no reasoning just instant love for no apparent reason. This whole subplot involving the ML's sister and her story feels completely forced and unnecessary. It adds nothing meaningful to the story , neither in terms of moving the plot forward nor enhancing its entertainment value. It would be better to remove it entirely.
Is there a love triangle going on between the Crown Prince, his cousin, and the male lead's first wife? Because their interactions never really feel sibling-like to me. It actually seems like the cousin might be in love with the Crown Prince from his side, it gives off definite boys' love vibes, though not so much from the Crown Prince's side.
Similarly, Meng’s daughter’s behavior toward her brother doesn’t come off as sibling-like either. It feels more like she’s romantically interested in him maybe he’s her adopted brother? Lol.
Edit: After watching 14 episodes, I’ve realized that the three of them just need acting classes to convey the right emotions nothing more.
I would suggest not watching this , it's a messy blend of concepts from more than three different dramas. The story wasn't given a proper chance to develop, everything felt rushed, performance was not good and the budget seemed really low.

Every time the Crown Prince and his cousin appear on screen together, their interactions give off a strong BL (Boys’ Love) vibe. Their presence, body language, and the way they look at each other don’t quite feel like cousins, brothers, or even just close friends it almost comes across as romantic. lol
This might just be my personal interpretation, but I couldn’t help but notice it. I’m curious am I the only one who felt this way? Does the original novel hint at this kind of dynamic between them?
Who changed her profile picture? I can’t even recognize them anymore. I just don’t understand why people change the profile pictures when they already had a good-quality one that was easily recognizable. It honestly frustrates me. it took me more sec to understand that she is same actress.

i watched in speed 2x , i don't like it.
