It hasn't been announced yet I don't think. But according to various news sources, Part 2 has already been filmed,…
I'm hoping the first season at least wraps up the plot that's going on now, or it will be annoying to have to wait for it to be completed in a second season :)
I'm like halfway through episode 1 and I'm finding it really boring.... does it get better at all?
I enjoyed Ep 1 as it sets up everything for the rest of the episodes, but the pacing is much faster from Ep 2 onwards. Special effects are superb too. I'd say stick with it thru at least Ep 2 then, if you still don't like it, drop it.
Not sure why some people are complaining about the first episode being "slow"? I thought it was beautifully done, and that it set up the premise of the whole series very well. Plus it wasn't remotely slow. And Episode 2 by the way (I haven't watched further than that yet) is even better.
Lol great! I was just about to ask if it was worth the watch.
I am SO picky with K-dramas (watched hundreds, tend to watch most on 1.5 or double speed), but this one grabbed my attention from its opening scenes and hasn't stopped in 10 episodes. Absolutely superb performances from the entire cast, Jung Woo Sung is phenomenal as the deaf painter, brilliant story and, so far, no incredibly annoying scenes where you just want to reach through the screen and strangle the person doing it :) Beautiful cinematography and soundtrack too.
This show is so comforting. It's full of emotions in the many meaningful moments of quiet the leads have. I love…
This, Song of the Bandits, Crash Course in Romance and the two Tale of the Nine-Tailed are just about the only K dramas I have NOT watched on 1.5 speed :) It's wonderful, isn't it?
Except they are. They are not translating what is actually being said, just an approximation of it and so much of it makes NO sense. I watched the first 15 minutes and gave up, as the translation was just silly. It's basically the difference between someone using Google Translate, which gives you an idea of what's being said, and something translated by a professional translator, where you know what is being said. Those subtitles hurt my head, and I even speak a little Korean :)
Same. Just started Ep 9 and I'm bored and watching it on double speed with 7 episodes still to go. Hopefully it…
That's the perfect word to describe so much of it -- "cringy" -- the drunk scenes, the overly dramatic romance scenes, the cheesiness of so much of it, the overly-acted maniacal laughing as the villain revealed himself.
And I'm not saying people shouldn't like the drama -- if they like it and that works for them, great, as it's not up to me to tell people what they should and shouldn't like.
For me, though, the last 4 episodes really disintegrated from the first 6 so that it's now become a bit of a struggle to watch -- (Watched Ep 10 last night, and was muttering under my breath the whole time "boring, boring, boring" while watching it on double speed. Hahahaha.)
With 6 eps still to go though, there could be a plot twist or two that makes it more interesting, so I'm living in hope. :)
You're right on Song Kang too. He's done a very nice job in this, and his comedic timing has been excellent.

No, I think the plot is really very weak -- nicely written, but the story is not particularly interesting for it to be dragged out like this. Honestly, it's not the worst thing I've watched all year :), the performances of all the actors are great, and I'll definitely finish it. Just hoping it improves in the last half (I really enjoyed the first 6 eps, btw, just got restless during Eps 7 and 8 as they weren't holding my attention as much).
Kinda losing interest tbh So many unnecessary fillers (FL's three employees, her secretary, Madam Ju's daughter)…

Yes, that score is a joke. For what it is, it's a close to 10/10 for me.
A 9.0 for me, and I'm only midway through but doubt I'll drop the score as the acting is fabulous (and I'm not a Rowoon fan, but he's done a superb job here), the story is fun and unique, and the cinematography and costumes are beautiful. Been very happy with this from Ep 1.
Mind-numbingly boring. Acting is so-so, fight scenes go on forever, and there is zero character development. Haven't seen the anime or read the manga, but it's easy to see why people are complaining such a long manga was condensed into a handful of episodes.
Currently in the middle of Episode 2 and not sure I'll finish it, as it's not holding my attention at all.
EDIT: Dropped at the end of Ep 2 -- couldn't care less about any of these people, and everything is so rushed without any lead up or much explanation, it's hard to care about anything in it.
