I will admit I didn´t like the last 2 episodes as much as the rest of the series . I hate episode 11 for being a BL cliché by adding drama/ break up in the episode before the last one and for episode 12, way to cheesy for me when it comes to Nubsib and Gene. I did cringe a lot, like the make out session toward the end -after they acted sleeping beauty, cendrillon and uwma scenes (edit: it was Romeo and Juliet which kinda end up becoming uwma) which was ridiculously funny and cringy-then they stopped and look at the camera and move their eyebrows and went back to making out... maybe I´m weird but I was just thinking I didn´t need to see that.
Also it really made NO sense to break up in episode 11. They should have just agreed to lay low for 4 months, I mean that´s pretty much what happened anyway since they just got back together as soon as Sib finished his contract with this horrible Pam. Gene was so strong in defending his love in the previous episode and end up really weak in episode 11... it made no sense to me.
It made no sense in the press conference to not just say they´re close because they are childhood friends, it´s such an easy explanation and the truth!
I would have prefer not to have the last scene with the author, it´s like the series we saw was just what was going on in the mind of the writer of lovely writer and I didn't like it, it´s just my preference through.

Now that I´m done criticizing, I will say what I liked about this series:

- CONSENT! This is my main issue when it comes to BL series, the issue with consent and making romantic forced kiss, sexual harassments and rape. How can we have that happening and after the characters becomes a couple when in reality the offenders should go to jail! I don´t understand it, I don´t want to understand it because it´s not ok BUT in lovely writer, this issue was highlighted and Nubsib was very careful to stops when asked to or ask to be sure Gene as ok which is good to see.

- Showing the toxicity of fans and fan service. Why do fans expect the actors to be together? Don´t get me wrong, yes they are cute together (they wouldn´t be casted otherwise), if they end up together good for them but bashing an actor for dating someone else and bashing the person they´re dating is just messed up. At the end of the day, they´re actors, not their character, they have the right to have a personnel life. To be honest, I don´t like fan service when it´s game where they´re almost kissing or whatever, I prefer to see genuine interaction which show the friendship between the actors.

- I really like Nubsib and Gene, the dynamic between them is really funny to watch in my opinion, them being connected from childhood is also cute even if I was weird out by Gene´s father seeing them as children in the same bed and getting worried... I mean Gene is older than Sib and when they were younger, having these kind of though was just ... no it´s just messed up, but anyway except for that, I like their connection

- I really like supporting brothers even if I was a little disappointed by the parents to be honest. I understand Gene´s father being worried for his child but why not just explain it first and why was his mother more focus on first supporting her husband than her son... it kinda bothered me.. a lot. Sib´s family reacted/ handled it better I think

- The managers: Tum and Tiffy. We didn´t see much but I liked that they showed a guy who people would think is gay when he is straight. It´s time to stop stereotyping people! Tiffy was portrayed as a strong and independent woman if I´m not mistaken (not going to lie I skipped some scenes about them

- Now Aey... oh boy where to start.. I think a lot of people are unhappy because his ending is sad but I actually am satisfied with it. Let me explain. Throughout the whole season I´ve hated, then felt sorry then hated again and felt sorry for him. At then end, i was just tired... I was thinking, if this guy was my friend, what would I do? He´s hurting and hurting others because of it because he´s trying to find happiness even by destroying others. I thought, as a friend, I would try to help them, support them when they´re hurting, hope to help them be happy but if they´re again and again acting selfishly and hurting people, I know that, as much as it would hurt, as much as I would feel guilty, would have to let go because if I stay by theire side, it would be like I forgive/ accept what they´re doing and that´s not possible, they would just end up being toxic people in my life so I would let them go as Tiffy did at the end, because you can´t help someone who doesn´t want to be helped or changed. Maybe having people leaving, seeing consequences to their action will impact them or maybe not but there are limits to what we can do.
I read some people are disappointed Aey didn´t end up with Mork. I had hope at the beginning but my hope was that Aey would noticed the person who liked him (who happens to be a really hot guy btw) and give him a chance and evolved but instead he chose to try to get what he can´t have and not to change so he´s alone because Mork chose to move on. I think it´s good, why stay stuck on a toxic person, even if you like them, if they don´t like you back or treat you correctly. If they´re not good for you and to you, just move on, that´s life, that´s the healthy way of dealing with this kind of situation. Maybe Aey will change and maybe he will have a second chance with Mork or someone else but let´s be honest, he needs to work on himself first so yes I´m satisfied with his ending even if I understand some are not. Still shocked he ended up eating a flower though, it kind of took be off guard...

Anyway, overall good series, not perfect but I´m satisfied!

I agree, I do feel like he was really sorry for what he did but that was just too much for others and sorry wasn´t enough, that´s tough but it felt so real at the same time. I would be so interesting to have him as the main character in a second season, the main antagonist of season 1 becoming the main character!

I watched this part again because I was like "why is Aey eating flowers, did he finally completely lost it?". The second time, I noticed it was chocolate xD.

For me Tiffy quit because Aey´s actions in episode 11 was just too disappointed, he went to far and she couldn´t support him anymore, at least that´s how I saw this part. I think they did good for ey, if there was a second season, I would be interesting in seeing his evolvement but with the way he acted, it´s a fitting ending for him.

For the 4 month gaps, my guess is that Gene and Nubsib stayed away from each other until the end of Nubsib´s contract and the series was airing and finished airing after the 4 months so nothing much was happening except being forced to be apart

Consent! That´s what is great about this drama in my opinion! Finally not a toxic relationship and a drama which clearly express the issue of considering forced kiss (or worse) as romantic in BL series/books. If felt nice to see the guy stop when asked, it shouldn't be exceptional but that´s a recurrent issue in BLs in my opinion and they´ve done it in a light way. Also showing the toxicity of fans and fan service. It´s in a way a light and fun series which highlight serious issues, very good. Great acting also I think, I really like the character of Nubsib and Gene and they matched well together.

The ending was too cute for me when it comes to Nubsib and Gene but at least they´re back together. During the 4 months, Aey was in contract so he did what Gene wanted, kept low profile away from Gene until the end of the contract and now he´s free.

I am actually happy Mork didn´t continue to pursue Aey. Let´s be honest, Aey is toxic at the moment so anyone who respect themselves would move on in real life and that´s what Mork did. At the end, Aey only has his fans but no new series, his manager left him and the guy who liked him for a long time is moving on and has a new series, maybe this will be the push that help him change or maybe not.
If Aey showed some character development, then I would have been on board with him getting a relationship but from all the characters, he is the only one who didn´t evolved at all so I´m satisfied with this ending for him. People deserves second chance but not based on nothing, you need to show you´re evolving. Of course people deserves happiness but not at the back of other people´s happiness which is what Aey tried to get during the series, he´s hurt people constantly and was selfish. He´s hurt them because he´s hurting but it´s an explanation not an excuse to act that way and that´s not how you get happiness. If he had open his heart to Mork, to someone who liked him, he would have had a chance at being happy but he rejected him . I think his manager really was disappointed in his last action in episode 11, she supported him a lot not only as a manager but as a friend but I think this was just too much disappointment. I would be really interested in a season 2 where Aey changed and has a second chance but he needs to change first and make amends. Aey was an interested character, I spent the whole series hating him and feeling sorry for him and wanting him to be happy but at the end, I was just tired of his actions, tired of him not "growing up", tired of him being selfish. If he was my friend, I would do everything to support him so that he feels better and find happiness but If I saw him hurting people and acted so selfishly again and again, it wouldn´t feel right being at his side because it would feel like I think it an acceptable way to act, I would feel heartbroken about it through... so I personally really understand why both Mork and his manager left at the end, you can´t help someone who doesn´t one to be helped or change someone who doesn´t want to change as sad as it is

The hair color doesn´t match the vice president. Definitely looks like Li Cheng hair cut and color.

I just hear about it too. I kinda expected it because otherwise what can they do to try to have the show on again but damn, I heard the accusation are bad but from my understanding it´s not him doing anything (drug dealing accusation on his parents + dual nationality but being only 18, he probably didn´t do any paperwork on his own). I don´t know how to feel except sorry for him... last week my only worry on the subject was that Liu Jun is unlikely to debut and now I´m thinking it would be better for him not to

Seriously, i went back and forward between hating this guy and feeling sorry for him in all the episode. Seems like I´m back to hate. It´s tiring
Also I wished one series would avoid this curse on the episode before last...

Back to episode 10:

- Ok Gene´s father doesn´t suck. I had my doubts on episode 9 but I feel better now. Still I do think the mother should I make it clearer during episode 9 that she was on her child´s side but well that´s my opinion at least everything is ok
- Same for Nubsib´s parents, I´m happy they accept him
- Big shoutout to the brothers, I like supporting siblings!

The rest was cute scenes, I guess it´s to better destroy us next episode... I know it´s not going to be good but I hope we will avoid an unnecessary breakup. They will face difficulties but I want them to face them together.

I think next week I will first only watch the end of the episode and if I see tears, I will wait for the following week to watch it with the last episode because if episode 11 is sad - as are usually all the episodes 11 in 12 episodes BL series - I can´t spend the week bothered by it.

So the scandal is about part of what he apologized in episode 1? I though it was a new thing with how it is talked about. So its about something he did when he was in high school so at 16 to 18 years old?

Sorry English isn´t my first language so I used the word "rumor" maybe incorrectly, what I wanted to say is I saw a post on the subject and since I don´t know really the situation I used the word rumor since I didn´t know if that´s the truth.

In the post I read, he was being defended by everyone (I didn´t try to learn more when all I read was that the situation was out of context and mistranslated, I like his rap but I wasn´t voting for him anyway so I honestly wasn´t curious about about why people were defending him) while in your twitter link, the opinion is different. As in my previous comment, I will just once again reiterate I don´t know enough about the situation and unless I was able to read Chinese and form an opinion on my own, I can just say again I don´t know enough about the situation to judge.

I heard about that yesterday I think, the rumor was linked to lyrics he wrote (is that what you´re talking about?). Some people were saying that it was a mistranslation of his lyrics through so internationals were very angry but not Chinese speaking people. I don´t know what is true so I´m not going to judge and condemn without proof. The only think I know about AK is that he is a good rapper and as I said what I´m wondering is why is it him in the group and not Oscar.

I actually like AK and the group needs a strong rapper so I´m not disappointed even if I heard it´s weird his ranking his better than Caelan... were there too many internationals trainees winning? But then I wonder why AK and not Oscar, Oscar really fits as being a rapper in a group better than AK and even if I like both so I´m surprise Ak debuted but not Oscar. The part I´m most annoyed, is how Zhang Jiayuan debuted.. I would literally replace him with anyone else in the final group. We all have our picks based on talent and personality and some in the t11 were not mine (I really wanted Yu Gengyin to debut ..) but I can see they´re talented so I understand but, I´m sorry, is Zhang Jianyuan good? I don´t think so...

The father was already worried about his son being gay when he was a child/teenager, I really didn't expect this revelation about the father. Also!!! I'm really curious, if it's indeed a family secret, how the family knew about it. The father seemed surprise Gene knew, (or was he surprise he said it out loud). This was so unexpected!

Well damn, what a roller-coaster!! This episode was amazing... where to start?

Aey : how can I dislike and feel sorry for character and want him happy is beyond me but that´s what I feel, heartbroken for him but pissed that he´s dealing with pretty much everything in the wrong way. He likes Gene but told him he liked Nubsib... why? I guess to make Gene stay away from Nubsib without telling his feeling I guess but why?? No idea, scare of being rejected? It was quite unexpected but I hope he can open up to Mhok...

Gene/Nubsib: the scene around the bed was hilarious with Gene telling Nubsib to calm down as if he was trying to calm an animal, I literally burst out laughing. I have to say, when it comes to consent, this series is the best BL series I´ve ever watch (how sad it that through). From the start with Gene writing a scene then erasing it because it´s sexual harassments to Nubsib asking again if he´s sure, it feels really good to see.
This episode their relationship really evolved and no I don´t mean because of the physical part but Gene wanted to be open about them being together, I didn´t expect it at all but it shows how committed he now is.

Families´ reaction: who wants to slap the fathers?? I´m sure I´m not the only one, especially Gene´s father (seems like Nubsib´s father will come next week). Why do people/family has issues with same sex relationship is just beyond me, I don´t understand it AT ALL. The weirdest thing is Gene´s father dated guys before?? WTF is he pissed off about??? I´all over the place about it... I will go back to that part...
Also the mothers didn´t seems to have an issue "joking" at the idea that their sons could be together but now that their husband is pissed, they are more focus on calming them down and being on their side??? I´m sorry but if my son comes out and my husband acted like that, the only thing I would do for him is show him where the door is so that he can get the hell away from me if he doesn´t want me to destroy him! I would be on my child´s side, my priority would be to make sure that my child knows he´s accepted and loved no matter who he loves!

Now going back to Gene´s father... what the heck is happening here?? Gene went nuclear on him, I was so proud he defended his love for Nubsib but I didn´t expect this revelation! How does Gene know his father dated guys?? His brother looked surprised! Did the mother knows, she had a really weird look on her face which bring me back to how did Gene know? Was it a secret? Did Gene outed his father? Also if he dated guys, why would it be an issue for him that Gene date one?? And he kept a letter from his ex?? So many questions

The only people I like were the brothers, so supportive and open minded, that is how siblings should act. Gene´s brother telling his father he was disappointed: I approved! Now I didn´t expect him to cry about it... is he in the closet too? In his place I would be pissed and then would go to my brother to let him know I´m on his side, I wouldn´t cry about it but well we deal with emotion differently I guess

Such a great episode, I hope this series will escape the curse of the episode before the last one, for me this episode and the following one should be the tough ones, I don´t want a break up, even temporary, happening!! From the start, Nubsib has been sure of his feeling and now Gene seems to be 100% into it too so I hope they stay strong and together until the end!! It would be nice for this BL to continue not conforming to all the BL we see.

I didn´t like it at all. It could have been really sweet and yes it´s a sweet happy ending but Momose forced himself on Yashiro, he first forced a kiss and later almost raped him, WTF??? I can´t just get over that because Yashiro is just like "whatever, i was also to blame", just no, that´s not ok.

Do they even live together? If I remember well, in the last scene Zhe Yu said he expects Bing Wei to propose because Bing Wei previously forgot the ring at his place so he put in back in his car or something like that. This made me pause because I was like "wait he´s going to propose before even living with the guy?". I don´t know why the big end scene is focus on the third couple be barely see. I hope if there is a S3, they will focus on the second couple because their ending was confusing for me.
