Title Love Is for Suckers Spoiler
In Woo is such a clown. His behavior was toxic from the beginning. Yu Reum should've never entertained him. He showed her who he was the first time. How are you going to arbitrarily decide to move abroad for 3 years without discussing it first with the person YOU proposed to, then get mad when she's upset by it and doesn't want to go? You dump her and move, then come back 3 years later and love bomb her, expecting to pick up where you left off with the proposal AND threatening her bestie since childhood who picked up the pieces when your clown self left? In Woo is the worst kind. Very self-righteous. No second lead syndrome here. I wish Yu Reum had the confidence and self-esteem to cuss him out when he tried forcing his way back into her life. CLOWN BEHAVIOR! 🤡 I miss Lee Da Hee playing alpha women. Yu Reum had so many wonderful qualities, but she's a mess when it comes to men.

The trauma doesn't necessarily stem from the tennis injury but his parents abandoning him as a result of it. How reprehensible! I'm rooting for you, Lee Gun!

This drama seems a little silly/tropey at times, but I like it so far! I'm here to support my forever ult, Jaejoong. It's wonderful to see him acting again! In the future, I'd love to see him stretch into other genres. It would be amazing to see him play a complex villain character like Moon Jo in Strangers from Hell or Tae Goo in Voice.

Koji looks like he could be the twin of San from ATEEZ. He is the highlight of the drama. The main couple is dry and predictable.

The glass ceiling for FL is very low. Why does she have to lose her professional ambition to be "more human?" The director is taking advantage of her by not paying her and promoting her at the level she's worth. I understand that was a sweet moment with Lee Si Wu, but to come back for one student and keep with th same low ball contract with a director who plays in your face and doesn't trust you? No hardball negotiations? Writers seem to have an aversion to excellent women who excel in their careers. Gray Witch isn't even evil. She's a shrewd business woman with decades of grit and experience. She earned her place and owns a thriving business. She has guts and far more business sense than the Daeichi Chase director, but he gets a pass for his cowardly business practices because he's male and goofy. I believe an even better story would be to have FL start her own academy.
On The Midnight Romance in Hagwon Jun 22, 2024
Gray Witch gives anime big boss energy when they have a showdown with the protagonist and give a long, drawn out discourse about their backstory, powers, and plans.😮‍💨 Just say what you need to say! She certainly represents the status quo older professionals tend to desperately fight to preserve (understandably yet frustratingly). I imagine she's what Kim Joo Young (Sky Castle) would be like as an elder. She has a sleek style.

I tend to enjoy those slice of life, slow burn dramas that center around the workplace, such as Misaeng and Life, so I'm liking this so far. I appreciate when dramas don't center around the romance and the romance is more so a part of the character's life rather than their entire existence. For that reason, I believe I'll stick with this drama to the end.

I will say they missed a teachable moment when it comes to handling an assault. Reporting acts of violence should be normalized in dramas. Instead, they treated it like a simple disagreement that got heated. That man left a bruise!
On Coffee Prince Dec 30, 2023
With the mood being so heavy right now, I wanted to go back to simpler, innocent times in K-Dramaland. Art really does imitate life with many dramas today about corruption and revenge. I enjoy those normally, but it hits a bit too hard with all that's transpired. I believe they reflect the times in society and provide an outlet and awareness. I can't believe I never watched Coffee Prince. The most I've seen of it is the Big Bang parody back in the day, which now I see was quite accurate!😅 I'm happy to meet LSG again in a light drama.❤️

The second couple’s story is so tragic…
*Cardi B voice* What is the reason?!😭 I found that to be so unnecessary. I honestly didn't care about the second couple until the writers made me care by adding that twist. After all the peril the main couple endured, how could such a plot be made for the second couple?
Lily Alice Dec 29, 2023
The horrific turn his life took after this interview is truly heartbreaking. It must've been such a shock to him. He sounded so hopeful and excited. I believe he had many more wonderful works to do. I wish the investigation would have focused on the facts and respecting the dignity of those involved. LSG didn't deserve to go out this way, regardless of his private matters. I pray for his family and the world as a whole in this post-truth, cancel culture era.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful gift with us. I truly enjoyed your work. You were a consummate actor. No matter what is said, I'll always see you as a shining star and a kind man. You didn't deserve the dishonor you received. Rest in peace.❤️

I watched it when it first released. I'm a fan of the anime and Yamazaki Kento, so I had high expectations. I was so disappointed after the first musical number and knew this was a fast train headed for a brick wall. This movie had absolutely nothing to do with the original story. It was more like a fever dream or tripping on ayahuasca.

I love odd dramas like this that seem to come out of nowhere and make zero sense yet somehow are charming, witty, and inspiring. This is a very cozy and funny drama to watch on a quiet day.

I finished this drama in three days. I really enjoyed it! I knew it would be a rollercoaster ride and a bit outlandish, but nothing too crazy when you think of other makjangs. I did fast forward a little on the last episode. There was no need to drag out the brother rivalry beyond the conviction. Breaking out of jail to kidnap your pregnant sister in-law, stab your brother, and it's revealed your leg has been healed all along and it was actually your mother who abandoned you? The writers could've kept that. They had Jung Wook doing too much. I was hoping for the last episode to show how Yi Joo rebuilt her relationship with her father. It was too clean of a wrap-up. More family healing and less waiting for Do Guk to wake up from a two-month coma. Smh. Other than that, I really liked this drama!
On Alice in Borderland Season 2 Nov 13, 2023
That was the longest final 8 minutes in the Club King game.😰 How could so much happen in such a short span of time? The suspense! I must say that the entire game reminded me of anime when the head villain gives a full monologue of their backstory, weapon, and future plans throughout the battle.😅 The juxtaposition of Kyuma being an empath, intellectual, and nudist definitely fit the typical idiosyncratic "villain." He's such a fascinating character. I was hoping some kind of what there's a tie and both sides win, because I really liked the band members and their relationship.

Frfr i was so confused like who is this guy and if thats not his dad then why is he doing all that??
Yes! It was a whole movie plot of it's own. I felt like there was such a rich, suspenseful story there, similar to the Flower of Evil. The ending felt unfinished.

This film was a cultural case study that highlights cybersecurity risks in an overly connected age. Siwan continues to impress me by taking on challenging and dark roles. He captivated me at the end. FL lacked street sense, which was frustrating. However, that may be more common than one would hope! I enjoyed this film, but the ending felt really rushed, especially regarding the investigator's son. That was an entire plot that ended abruptly. Honestly, I found his story more interesting. There wasn't much suspense or "thrill." The pace moved somewhat slow. I'm convinced ML is Jungwoo from Stranger's from Hell living out his new life of crime.
