I thought the drama would develop differently but I guess not.
I don't understand how people manage to watch these modern Chinese romance dramas that are full of whispering, boring voices, talking at the same level, few gestures, just dull and bland all the time. Too much poker face as well. They just read the script with extremely limited expressions.
I like how the childhood part didn't become the reason for the ML to fall in love with the FL.
But one thing I must mention is that I pity Deok Im. To me, she may have loved the king, but she never wanted to become a highness. You can tell she did it for love and to keep her friends and lady close to her. After all, her brother got executed and had nobody else in her life anymore.
