I feel like LF would have tenderly touched XM’s cheek and maybe that would have progressed into a kiss because it didn’t look like XM was about to get off of him (he had to push her off LOL) had that guy not interrupted >;( he also didn’t deny her being his girlfriend when that guy called her his gf ;)))

I was so disappointed when each episode was only 30 mins :( I can tell they’re pacing this story very fast and there are times where it cuts mid convo and I’m just ????? That’s it ???? I guess we’ll just have to see how they tackle the elephant in the room with LF’s past and XM + LF’s relationship with only 12 eps left and basically only 6 hours of drama left :/

I was really thinking ‘girl did you even think twice before entering’ when she just came in with her PJs on haha and LF seemed so used to it ???? I love how these two act like an old married couple :) and I agree! Their strengths compliment each other nicely; they basically complete one another!

I was thinking the same thing while watching! I’m really thinking about using the ethical situations in this drama in my Kant essays LOL they’re perfectly constructed around his philosophy, I wouldn’t be surprised if the writer drew inspo from him ????

I’m also waiting for a scene where LF realises he actually treasures XM as way more than just a friend and partner. And vice versa. Because I do feel like LF is the first to catch feelings out of the two. I would say in episode 3 is when he starts to show some interest and care for her. But his feelings becomes solid in episode 12 (the scene where he walks over to her, past the rock). I’m not really sure about XM... she definitely also feels some way about him by episode 12, but she doesn’t seem to acknowledge it and show it as openly (so she only gives little shy looks towards LF behind his back when he does something affectionate lmao). It seems like the main goal in her mind is to avenge her parents. I think part of the reason why is that she knows LF isn’t as simple as he seems because of his past; she doesn’t fully understand him as a person yet and so she isn’t going to jump in head first. But her feelings are starting to leak through bit by bit :’)

Yes! I saw those too :D and all the scene where he protects XM ahhh there isn’t going to be a kiss scene unfortunately, but all these interactions they’re having is so much more sweeter than a simple kiss scene haha
Istg, if they don’t have some closure for these two’s feelings by the end of the drama, I’m going to be sorely disappointed. I love the crime aspect but their love is a case that also needs to be solved! I feel like they might end this drama with just the pair being like ‘onto the next case!!!!!’ with no mention of their feelings though.... but I guess we shall see. The romance tag on here makes me a bit more hopeful because it would be tagged as ‘slight romance’ if it wasn’t one of the main elements of the story. I mean, they’re comfortable enough to enter each other’s houses unannounced now LOL

It’s a good drama up until episode 12ish. Then it goes all crazy. I’m tired of the reincarnation endings, I really feel like it’s some easy way out to try and satisfy viewers when it isn’t at all a good way to round things off, especially when the characters have little to no recollection of one another. I would have preferred a timeline reset after they defeat HDD tbh. It could be a ‘will they meet again or not?’ kind of thing and then SJ’s letter could tie in with them actually meeting again since their love transcends space and time. While that ending is still a bit wishy washy, it provides a happier ending for everyone. They made HDD a bit too OP. I mean, who knew the dancing instructor would be one of the only people alive at the end LOL
Cannot fault any of the acting in this drama though..... the cast is seriously so damn talented!

The romantic tension between Luo Fei and Xiao Man is real LOL someone needs to shake some realisation into them that they like each other ????

Yeah, I’ve watched up to latest episode and it seems like he definitely has something towards her. Been snooping around on weibo and quite a few people feel that there’s nothing between them since there is allegedly no kiss scene but their chemistry is so good, I think they can be cute without any kissing scenes lol but I agree, I do love strong girl/smart guy romances so hopefully they’ll at least have acknowledged that they do feel more towards each other by the end :)

Just watched the two episodes and it’s so so so so so good! I love republican era crime romance dramas and this has not disappointed so far :))) although, I do have a question. I’m really shipping the Luo Fei x Xiao Man couple right now and seeming there’s a ‘romance’ tag here, I’m assuming they’re the ‘main’ couple, right?

Yeah he probably would. This guy is basically some OP soul and I'm sure if he did a bit of his voodoo stuff, he'd be able to find her. Plus he's the kind of villain that would want Pil Sung to kill Seo Hung before his own eyes. Man, he has got to be one of the most ruthless villains I've watched before.

Started this recently and I’m so in love with Alan Yu and his character. I’m finding the female lead a bit bland right now and their chemistry seems a bit flat as well. Hopefully it does get better along with the plot.
