I love this site because I used to watch Asian, US, Latin, Indian, African shows and now, globally, many different nationalities/cultures are watching cdramas! I enjoy reading others' candor/rants/comments; can relate or find humor!

I like some interesting side characters as well! They can 'add' to any dramas!

- i.e. Han Cheng Yu's character and how King of Ping Qin were comedic with their teasing/contributions in One & Only.
- How the Consort was so good at sussing and giving it back (putting her in her place) to the Marquis wife in Love likethe Galaxy.

Can't wait for 2023's drama that is equivalent to Love like the Galaxy, One & Only, LBF&D, etc for me! Wbu?

I'm not a novice to c-dramas; this drama production worked diligent to deliver good content. This is effective storytelling.

i.e. LMX's character making such efforts for HH's family....
.......YY sticking up for herself and rejecting the proposal (she finally saw her worth which HH has been trying to tell her).
.......BY's character finally got someone who is worthy of her love and attention! She has been a good friend to HH with financial and emotional support...vice versa.

***I'm normally a private person but today's episode was poignant and very emotional because my beloved wonderful mother passed away a few months ago (I spent the last few years taking care of her). 😢

She was pretty good in Palace of Devotion (slow costume drama) and Vacation of Love (with one of my other favs Cheng Xiao). I like her and Qin Lan (more mature ladies).

💯...I've enjoyed reading some of your content on other dramas as well; you'd make a good narrator. lol 🤣

Don't misconstrue; it is still the first drama I catch every morning during my work out! lol 🤣 In this case, there are literally too many cooks in the kitchen! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Off on a tangent, HY looks good today; his hair looks better!

I've been soooo looking forward to LOA; didn't read the novel so my subjective opinion is a mixed bags filled with other novel readers shares and my own. The scriptwriters and multiple directors might be the caused of some angst with the drama. It has been meh for me because I enjoyed other costume dramas due to other characters (besides the leads) in a drama. I've fast forwarded a particular character's scene (fake DZY) & rarely rewatched the eps (uncharacteristic of me particularly if I like the drama). Dilraba, Gong, and LMX are making it work.

💯 I also liked the cute scene when the friend finally got her to admit that it (future gossips) didn't bother her when they lived together but now that they are neighbors with the revelations of feelings might. It meant that she might have 'something' there as well. 🤣 *wink*

I wish there are more viewers/commenters like us who are currently watching this show. TBH, this is one show I'm currently watching sans fast forwarding like LOA, etc.

All of the female characters are intriguing and their careers/romances stories are progressing/developing beautifully.

OMG! I thought I was the only who thinks others are being selfish for not sharing with her (it isn't like she can't keep a secret or low profile/DL on things 🤣). Thanks for your candor/acknowledging/ranting about this. 👍

I love your sounding reply (indicative of intelligent/fair) and basically, I appreciate how you're vocalizing and taking a different perspective/angle for this 'character'! My beloved mom has a saying, "Even the nicest person has someone who does not like them and the meanest/most difficult person has a friend!" *wink* I get your point as well; she was not mature enough (young age) to gasp what she was giving up (i.e. freedom/commitment & diligence on becoming fake DZY/ etc) in place for a new life. Understood; she has every right to feel BITTER and to be fair, she doesn't have the social education/etc that some of us have the luxuries of having (sans parents' teachings/wisdoms/etc)! Valid. Definitely a flawed character to induce 'drama'/antagonism/comments on MDL. lol

Maybe some of us are expecting her to be 'noble' or come to the realization that 1) Yes, she was used as a pawn, however, she is still alive as opposed to the 80K soldiers and DZY's family who lost their lives!,......I feel like other commenters already listed multitude of reasonings on how she ought to be grateful for her new stationing in life.

🤣 Yes, most of us are guilty of fast forwarding, walking away, or muting due to our disdain for her character and how much screen time she is getting (as opposed to novel)! 👍 Keep on enjoying and love reading all these comments! 🥰

I read your arguments/perspective (appreciate how you're putting it out there); please excuse the brevity of this reply. *I love shares and differences in opinions/viewpoints. I agreed with the sentiment of victimization for the past 10 years, however, as a humble person, one would greatly appreciate the change in circumstance (you had mentioned this). In my subjective opinion, she is greatly guilty of 'entitlement' issues! There are plenty of 'victim(s) characters' out there in the real world/or dramaland who are GRATEFUL/or complecent for their current 'better' stations in the world post 'sufferings'.

IMHO...i.e. I didn't like her 'entitled' tones and in addendum, I did not like how she was cornering and thinking she is 'better' than Ren Anle when she thought Anle was a threat (CP). As a CP and future Empress, she has to accept the fact that CP's or Emperor's affections will be shared. Off topic, she was so GOOD at playing a b*&)* that I sometime wonders if she is one in real life. lol 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️
