1) I get your point of iconic, and appreciate how you recognized my point as well. I believe in different adaptations as well and at times, Hollywood or productions mess up on books/originals; sometimes plays/operas should stay as their respective contents! On the flip note, can't imagine iconic movies/shows like Top Gun, Mission Impossible, Star Wars, to be turned into dramas/plays/etc. lol 😂
2) Lately, I can't stand to watch anything out of the U.S. (except for espionage or highly intelligent plots) but I actually love the Good Doctor more than the Kdrama original!
3) I feel like in some remake productions, their teams are paying homage to the original. In this case, I feel like the production team really made EFFORTS on ensuring that the castings are well chosen. If you spend time watching this remake, you might notice (& maybe appreciate) this!!! IMHO, this is NOT a sloppy remake; (as a leader) feels like much thought was placed behind it.

It is like someone just had a baby; instead of recognizing/congratulating them on their baby, you expressed how much you love and appreciate another couple's child sans any recognition/mentioning of the newborn. lol 😂 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
