@pamplemousse and @maxi I appreciate how you aren't afraid to state your affinity towards the romance in this; I thought I was the only one who looks forward to the interactions between LR and BHY! 🤣 🙌🏼It's good and healthy to have differences of opinions/affinities/etc but I like how we can be candid as well.

Off on another tangent, I am also loving the decor of BHY's foyer, house, and how much effort they put into the production. I really like the decor/design of sets in these recent historical dramas (i.e. Luoyang, Novoland E., O&Only, etc). 👍❤️

Thanks for your post along with other Liu Ran's supporters; her recent actions could be construed as impeding Erlang and others from accomplishing their investigations and annoying but I actually like the addition of her character. I look forward to her interactions with Erlang. 🤩

She has provided character development and the softening of Erlang's character by being present.

Furthermore, I like how she and the other FL get along as oppose to other dramas where the women are scheming/nasty towards one another due to jealousy, etc. Keep on enjoying....! 👍

In addendum, I wanted you to know that I came to realize about the drama, the Truth, thanks to your earlier post. Rewatched Goodbye my Princess many times so I might rewatch this again in the future. 🤣🧡

Apparently, the 'rushed' was due to the production truncating from 55 eps to 48. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Bai Yu was good in O&O as well as Legends; I tend to like historical c-drama and modern K-dramas more although these days, there are a lot of 'trash/fluffs' in c and k dramas!

Tbh, I'm watching pearl eclipse for the 2nd and 3rd couples; fast forwarding lots of exchanges/scenes with Yang Mi (even though I have nothing against her or the ML).

Same here; agreed with the high production and pleasantly impressed by the first 8 eps. I'm liking the dynamics between the leads, seeing WYB's angry and yet adorable face. Even though there is no romance tag, I'm enjoying Baili and Liu Ran interactions. That feast via water passage (ep 8) was ingenious!

Agreed with you on TXL being too harsh at end of Ep 30! This is the first republican era drama I'm watching/completing sans fast forwarding due to my affinities toward the leads. 🧡However, tbh, even with eye candies like Evan and Oliver, I'm not rewatching this as much as other dramas. lol 🤣

Agreed; I also read another's comment about wanting him to be Gemma's end game instead of the ML. I've been fast forwarding episodes and waiting to see previews of later episodes! I'm not watching many new K dramas lately; watching some new C dramas instead.

Maybe this article will encourage you to watch GBMP? Personally, I have rewatched it several times and (if you don't mind my candor) I still cannot move on from it. I ❤️ GBMP for the leads chemistry, acting,, etc. There are 4 mini eps set in modern times for your enjoyment as well. I liked One & Only, Ashes of Love, The King's Woman, etc but GBMP is a masterpiece imho.

I did enjoy Evan's performance in Crush; pleasantly surprised by that one.
