@yennie Those netizens ought to take videos of themselves and check out their own takes/outcomes! Camera, firstly, adds at least 10lbs. lol 🤣 On top of it, it is difficult to get all of the lines correctly in first take(s) and on top of it, have emotions, etc. One's facial features and mouth movements can appear 'distorted'/weird/funny sans training or practicing religiously in front of mirrors, etc. My beloved and wise mom often says, "First walk a mile in one's shoes before criticizing...or you do not know pain until the same needles (that is poking someone else) pokes you." I see your angle on the fake crown prince but I find that he (the character...not attacking the actor) was narcissistic and of course pale in comparison to ZSC who was noble and considerate of his citizens, etc. Its irrelevant at this point but I hoped they had deviated from the novel in the following manner:

1) Let both main leads live and for them to find each other as companions after the fake prince passes (almost impossible for this since the premise of the novel and part two is due to the tragic ending),

2) They both meet in heaven (continued their enduring love there)? lol It happens in C-drama so I'm not asking for much lol 🤣

❤️🧡💛💙 this drama. I have to learn to let this drama go 🤣 lol; kept rewatching some of the episodes today. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Especially the enduring scenes. In addition to the sad ones, there were cute and comedic scenes as well; I especially appreciated the Monk's (encouragements of hidden romance/feelings), Prince of PinYins's (teasing in ep 21), and Huan Yuan's/his attendant.'s along with Advisor Xie's contributions to this drama.

Agreed. There were so many 'hidden' meaning that transpired through actions or facial interactions between the two male leads. ZSC is so attractive and remarkable as a character to me because his maturity, integrity, astute, political acumen, humanistic approaches, and calm demeanor. He is like the 'father' of the nation at such a tender age; respected and loved by many. Hoping to see this in the modern version as well. Enjoy.

There is a profound and deep meaning in his last note to her. 🥲 Throughout this drama, he, in his own manner, professes deep fondness/care/etc. Can't wait for Forever and Ever to come on although I will miss the other actors (i.e. Monk, disciples, Prince from PinYin, etc) from this drama. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Wish I could do more justice to the translation but it appears she is betrothed to evil prince again and she does not want to part from her love....🥲🤦🏻‍♀️ Tbh, this is one of the dramas I've been waiting for new episodes. I know what you mean, in regards, to chemistry with FL (Bai Lu), etc. In my subjective opinion, he looks mature and best (so far ;P) in this drama. Didn't know him until this surprisedly good drama.
I'm skipping through his first few work(s), i.e. The Glory of Tang Dynasty I & II (eps 60 and 32 respectively). His chemistry with FL (JT) in it is not too bad. Enjoy! =)

Definitely shipping the side characters as well. =). If you read the novel, you can see ML's demeanor in modern times are similar to the plife. I'm liking the comments section and others who are liking this or pleasantly surprised by this drama like me! Enjoy....
